I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Asbury Park but all my friends say, "No you don't." WELL! YES I DO!!
We drove through Asbury Park on a rainy Sunday morning in 2012-- just to see the Stone Pony. Cleaning staff were there and sweetly let us walk around for a few minutes. But we were on the Jersey Shore for a wedding the previous night, and then were driving back to our home in DC. If you're nearby, def go! but not sure it's worth a huge detour -- but of course if you can score a performance where local boy Bruce appears -- that's different! Great song, and great video!

My wife and I went there in September. It was a beautiful, quiet late summer Monday, and the beach was pristine, with just a handful of people on the sand and on the boardwalk. we missed a gig by Jake Clemons at the Convention Hall by one day. Disappointingly we didn't encounter any E-Street members or Asbury Jukes, and the Stone Pony was closed, but we had a memorable time. We were befriended by some lovely locals who shared a beer with us on their gorgeous porch on Sunset Ave. We loved the place.
