Kobe Bryant crash: All 9 bodies recovered from Calabasas helicopter crash site

- The bodies of all victims in the helicopter crash in Calabasas that killed NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and eight others have been recovered, the Los Angeles County coroner's office announced Tuesday.
Recovery efforts proved difficult in the rugged terrain near Las Virgenes Road and Willow Glen Street, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner. Investigators were able to reach the crash site by ATVs Monday morning, one day after three bodies were recovered from the scene.

Be real, Kobe was a legend and that's why his name stands out. The others weren't known nation wide and saying their names would be irrelevant as nobody knew them like they knew Kobe. Should they all be respected and have their names read yes, but does America care, no. Look at it this way, you don't take time to care about the names of strangers who you don't know that die everyday....because they are irrelevant to you. They always say Kobes name because he is known, the others are irreverent to the world simply because they aren't famous, no one knew them like they knew Kobe. The drive time was too long. He had the helicopter for those exact reasons. They were already 40mins in the air before crash.
@Tony Roberts So if you he millions of dollars and you had the option to use a helicopter instead of drive hours back and forth to games, traffic all state of all places, you wouldn't take that opportunity and then also be kind enough to offer a ride on what you invested to your friends and other teammates so they as well did not have to deal with traffic? It was a horrible accident yes, but who's to say he couldn't die in a car accident as well? It's not his fault for utilizing a helicopter. The day it went up decisions were made by others whom he trusted his life with and his family and friends lives for years. Him choosing to buy a helicopter doesn't change anything nor makes him ignorant. Using helicopter in California is the smart thing to do if you had the money to do it. Not to be flashy, but also extremely convenient. He could've easily died in a car Accident. Accidents happen no matter what.

For one of the victims only their upper body and a little of their head were found.
If you've seen Kobe's autopsy report, his body was cut in half and one of his arms was cut off. The 1st responders will never get those images out of their minds.

1:06 no fog had formed until after they departed nor was it mentioned in the forecast. Unlike anyone who grounded their aircraft that morning, Kobe didn’t assume the worst just because the sky was light gray. The fact that he had done this very helicopter ride the previous 24 days in a row and lived to tell the tale is quite self-explanatory!

@@samreilly1484 just watch some investigation videos on yt about it, talks about VFR vs IFR, the route they had to change because of the conditions, and spatial awareness. The pilot was too afraid to say no to a celebrity client than tell them the dangers, he was only equipped to fly in VFR due to a contract with his company, and VFR is not good for the amount of fog
@@juliac9279 when the chopper took off, visibility was 4 miles with an overcast ceiling of a quarter mile which didn’t meet LAPD’s standards for flying as they require 5 miles visibility and a ceiling of 1000 feet but it met Kobe’s pilot’s standards who requires 3 miles visibility with a ceiling of 900 feet. It wasn’t until 90 miles into the flight that the pilot encountered any fog let alone fog that turned out to be even denser than he could have ever imagined. But it was just his overfamiliarity with fog that caused him to do what he did. It had absolutely nothing to do with any kind of “pressure”. That’s just a false narrative.

My mom actually read a post about it at the time it was new and she told me that the daughter and the dad must have been screaming. It almost made me wanna cry.

How is the crash site hundreds of feet? The credible eyewitness said the chopper was flying low and slow. Then there was a thump and quiet. The chopper would have been mostly intact. The NTSB is saying it was a couple thousand feet high (wrong or a lie) and it descended 2000 ft a minute (wrong or a lie). What is being hid about this event? Why is everyone just reacting to the media and not critically thinking and questioning what's going on?
Give it a couple days...after the grieving process, these youtube bloggers are going to be asking those same questions. The news keep showing Kobe's with his black 🚁 (that have the nike symbol on it) but the plane that crashed was not black. The media is confusing.
Last radar flight data entry was 176 mph. NOTHING is intact impacting the earth at that speed.
It was descending at 2,000 FPM, but was still traveling over 160 MPH! SO it hit wirh a G force of over 200 G's So the body's

Depends on how close they were, it's easy to say it's going slow if you're looking from a distance. Airplanes always look like they're barely moving unless you're very close and it's low. However this was in a steep ravine that was difficult to get to. I doubt they were very close. I read a witnesses statement that said one of the doors landed by them and parts were flying around everywhere. That certainly does not sound like a slow impact.

The Skikorsky is a medium weight helicopter, priced at 13 million dollars which uses two turbine motors that use JP-5 fuel type. The Skikorsky Helicopter has a top speed of near 200 mph.
The Skikorsky helicopter model has been manufactured since 1977.
Looking at the wreckage photos, there was a large amount of fuel on board, which explains the severity of damages post landing on ground. Not many large pieces of wreckage, and much of it burned, the helicopter may have been traveling at a high rate of speed before landing on the hillside with a large amount of FUEL on board.
As with other commercial aircraft, the Skikorsky has a weight rating load capacity, of 13 persons or that equivalency in pounds of weight.
The aerographical element of fog was reported with a Visibility of 700 feet that day and time.
The term SPACIAL DISORIENTATION, could be introduced as part due to the fog at the time. Spacial Disorientation can take place in flight when a Pilot or Aircrew looses reference to balance, ground level flight or aircraft/ helicopter altitude and attitude.

What’s not adding up? Someone who takes that many helicopter rides has an increased chance of this happening. All it takes is a couple of wrong or sleepy or visually impaired moves by the pilot to ruin everything.

Anna Otero for such a crash of a aircraft plunging down like that, there will hardly be any body recognition. I’m quite sure that it took them a good while before finding remains. Just look and you will see a few coverings on the ground and how far apart they are.
