This is a rare find. thanks for posting. It is nice to see such a legend embrace and have fun with the genre of movies he is mostly identified with. Today's celebrities would never do this.
I love this, I remember it , it was great then and still is ! Thanks for this , I was having as much fun just watching them as they were performing. Them performing Little Darling was so much fun ! Loved the Dinah Shore show
I was sent here by Greg Mank and his book about Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. Wow, this really was a GREAT treat!!! Boris just seems to be having the time of his life and of course, he's delightful as he always was. Listening to Carney (not doing badly considering those fake teeth), I remember reading somewhere that he was once a vocalist with Horace Heidt (I think that was the one) and his orchestra--like Karloff, an extremely talented and versatile performer. Thanks for sharing this!!
I liked Art Carney in the movie Firestarter. He played the part of Irv Manders, an old farmer who took instantly to the little girl (played by Drew Barrymore) and her father (David Keith)
This is amazing! Never had any idea it existed. They all do a fabulous job, and it’s especially funny when Betty Hutton cracks up Dinah with her raspy cackle. “Mama Look A Boo Boo “ is forgotten today, but it was a calypso song popularized by Harry Belafonte.
This clip demonstrates perfectly one of many reasons why Boris was so much more revered, respected and loved than Lugosi. As brilliant and versatile an actor as he was he never took himself seriously. Bela on the other hand would have balked at doing a scene like this. His attitude limited him in so many ways.
No, I think he would have. Look for the clip here on TH-cam of Bela and Lon Chaney on the Red Skelton show. He's having lots of fun in a mad scientist sketch.
"would have balked at doing a scene like this" I'd think you could "revere" Karloff if that's your trip without crapping on someone else who's brought us happiness too. And, as Libby showed, your criticism was incorrect anyway.
@Joe Comer "entitled to my own opinion" Your observation that Lugosi would not do something like this was false, as Libby pointed out and you hardly argued with when he did. Saying someone was much less _loved_ than someone else -- how could you crap on him more?
Karloff was such a good sport to do this.
Great fun.

I so.agree Mr Karlof was a very talented man and also very humble. Lagosi on the other hand probably would not have done this.
Maybe, but it's cheap and it sold.
