- King K. Rool was one of the most anticipated characters to join Super Smash Bros. Many of his moves originated in classic DK games, like his Blunderbuss from Donkey Kong Country 2.
In this video, we're going to explore the origins of all moves, animations and costumes of King K. Rool.

Nanda I Kadek that’s not even super armor nor a hit box (my mistake) super armor is when the moves connect when they bounce off of each other it’s basically like a trade in smash bros if you know what those are
Nanda I Kadek but his super armor didn't run out back then so he was most likely invincible
I CONSUME MEME that’s not super armor, super armor for example is little macs forward smash he attack’s you at the same time you hit him and you go flying and he doesn’t even budge
I loved how his final smash was literally a recreation of the DK64 game over,and even better,it actually shows the Island being destroyed by the laser.
I can't believe him having super armor on some of his moves, something that everyone seems to hate, actually stays true to his character.
Also, I don't think anyone is complaining about it, I'm pretty sure they're just surprised to see it. Maybe I'm wrong.

You forgot about the up-tilt, which is the same punching animation he uses against Chunky in that portion of the DK64 final boss fight.
Also, his walking animation is similar to his walk in one of the cutscenes in DK64, when he's pacing back and forth.
Maybe you should do this for all fighters in a multi part series.

King K. Rool was my most wanted character at the time and I was overjoyed when he was announced. His moveset was exactly how I imagined it would be (besides the Belly Armour). The boxing gloves, the blunderbuss, the crown, the propeller pack. He’s now one of my mains. It would’ve been cool if he has Gangplank Galleon as a stage, however, but other that that, welcome aboard, King K. Rool!

Yeah I was bummed out when I realized no new DKC stages would be added. Gangplank Galleon would've been great, or maybe something from DKC2 or 3.

Nintendo really ought to include more Donkey Kong characters in more of their games. While the Mario spinoffs get littered with babies and basic enemies, characters like King K Rool, Funky Kong, Candy Kong, Dixie Kong, Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong & Chunky Kong get left in the dust

I like how all his moves are related to a past game in the playable series, then it comes around 4:39 - 4:50 some poses or colors that I haven't thought about yet 🤣🤣 specially the Baseball Bat animation

Yes, definitely! It should also not be limited to game origins as well, since some of them came from outside their games. Like an enraged Jigglypuff inflating in the anime, and incineroar's final smash being inspired by a wrestling move

Actually, blue K. Rool is based on K. Rool from some old Donkey Kong Country manga/comic (I don't exactly remember). K. Rool was blue instead of green in that one.

king k rool is a very curious character from SSBU, when they told me about him I did not think he would be so big and fat, but he is very cool, I thought he only appeared in DK country 1 but I see that he is very popular and walks with a lot of swag XD

I think that skin is actually meant to be interpreted as K. Rool's version of Super Kong from Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Like Super Kong, he has a white body with blue clothing.

i thought his standing animation came from donkey kong country 3 where before the fight with baron K roolenstein he uses an animation similar to his standing animation to talk
Why dose K. Rool look a lot bigger than DK in his games but in ultimate he looks smaller than DK but not by much

@Morgothos Bowser's size is fine in Smash. He usually becomes giant in Mario games because he eats a Power Star, Kamek's magic or some other power up.

If you fast fall after up b he does the hurt animation from dkc3
what happens if the shield is broken? 3:30
When his belly gets shattered, the same effect as a Falcon or Warlock Punch plays and K. Roll becomes stunned, similar to having your shield broken. I believe it breaks with around 30% damage, give or take.
