She looks amazing! I have had mostly bad experiences with the doll hospital. I sent in a Jess McConnel for a head replacement, but they sent her back with nothing changed, the exact same head and everything, and still charged us $50, so I had to get a refund. Second, I sent in my GT#4 for a head replacement as well, and they said they didn't had anymore GT4 heads, so I got her back with a #54 head and they completely made her lose her value and didn't give us a refund. Next, I sent in my Truly me 39 for a head replacement and her new head is fine but her limbs were sooo loose and still dirty. I had to clean them with magic eraser after the doll hospital which SHOULD NOT happen since the service included cleaning. When I sent my Maryellen in as well, she also came back with very loose limbs. My only good doll hospital experience was when I sent in my Truly me 88 and she came back perfect. However, they RUINED MY #27! She was one of the older 2014 versions and I asked for her head to be replaced with the same version with the wavy hair, but instead I got one with a middle part, straight hair, and a very thin wig. You can't do anything with her hair, her whole wig cap shows through and it's so annoying! At least I got a Parshall refund for that one. So yeah...I don't trust the doll hospital but I'm glad it worked out okay for you.
I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had numerous poor experiences! :( I’ve definitely heard some horror stories of people sending in valuable and rare dolls and they don’t seem to have much care for that at the hospital. I wish the doll hospital was filled with like minded collectors who understand how much the doll’s value changes when you get something different than original.

Hi, I'm just warning you that head replacements don't always turn out the way you want them too. I've sent in 6 dolls for head replacements, and was only happy with the results of 1 of them. They have really thin wigs now, and the bad quality 2017 eyes so if you're sending in one of the older dolls, she definitely won't come back the way you want her too. And they might not even have any heads of that doll left. I sent in 2 dolls for head replacements, and they both couldn't get one because the heads were out of stock, so they sent them back the way they were and just cleaned them and did their hair instead, and they still charged us money and didn't give us a refund. This is just a warning, because I don't want you to be disappointed with your results like I was.
That’s definitely what I would recommend, it’s totally worth looking at American Girl fandom pages too, to see which doll heads are going to be available and which ones will come back modified💗

Ive used them 4 times with great success. Just to note, you can call and set it all up, you can also call and check on your doll- one time OI was never notified. Your doll has a loose leg. I would contact customer service, thell fix it free and send you a postage paid shipping label- its their fault. I do have to say I was surprised at the lousy dhipping box you recieved her in. Ive never had that happen. You should let them kow so yheyre aware. Im so happy you got her, shes a dream doll of mine.❤️
I am so nervous about sending my dolls to the doll hospital, especially for my 4 from childhood. Those 4 I had received when they still used the Pleasant Company stamp on the back of their necks. Plus, one of them is Kailey, and she has loooooong since been retired
She is beautiful! I just realized that you can get a full body replacement (limbs, torso and head) for $88, which is what you did, right? I always thought you had to choose torso OR limbs if you were doing the head as well, but I just double-checked on the website. That is crazy. Why would anyone choose just torso or just limbs if they can get both for the same price. Interesting. I've only sent in dolls for head replacements, so I never realized that distinction. Thanks for sharing!
That's what I was wondering also! I was nervous because I didn't want there to be a miss match in tone if they did one or the other. But $88 is a pretty great deal for a whole new doll, especially for retired dolls they still have heads for! That way you have a brand new condition for a fraction of what you'd see on Ebay or Mercari :)

New subscriber as well. Love small channel Sundays. I’ve only sent in a few dolls to the hospital but I’m lucky enough to still be near to an AG store, so I can save shipping the doll to the store. I had Z’s permapanties removed (body replacement) for free, Logan and Blaires bad eyes changed for free and an old Josefina had a retracted eyelid so I got her eyes changed for free. All my experiences have been positive except Josefinas eyes. They replaced them and they were looking in different directions. I sent her back with photos showing how her eyes looked in different directions and they fixed her for Fred again. Very stressful but worth it in the end.
I am so grateful you found my channel! It’s great to hear AG was willing to replace the defective parts on dolls! I do wish they still would replace the bad eyes and permanent underwear without a deadline to do so for free! It’s also great to hear they are reasonable if you are not satisfied with the repair and will make sure it is done right! Makes me think I could have called and mentioned her limbs being loose but I didn’t want to have to send her in again :(
How many times did American Girl charge you for payment? I've never sent dolls to the hospital before and did they charge you once the doll was their or when they sent her home did they charge you when she came home?

I need to send 2 bitty twins dolls that were rescued from goodwill. I think their hair was cut and some chew marks on their hands, and I think the feet. The one thing is I believe the neck stamped pleasant company. I need to look at them and see. I cleaned them a bit a few months ago. I just need mom to call american Girl and see if they can help with the admission form. Do you know if you can still print out the doll hospital admission form or is it all online now?
I called customer service and they help me fill out the form on line step by step but you do have to pay to get the doll fixed even if you are expecting a refund. The hospital determines if you get a refunded after it’s been examined by them. I sent in Maritza Ochoa because the black leggings stained her legs so I had to pay to ship the doll to the hospital with the leggings so they could determine if the leggings caused the stains on her legs. My husband got her new in box on eBay so we could not get a refund or replacement from AG. They concluded it was the leggings so I got a refund but have not seen the doll yet it’s in transit.
Can you call American Girl and have them help you set up the form? Or is it all online? Because I remember when I was little they had the doll hospital forms in the catalogs and as a printable on their site so now it's chaged is their a way to print out a blank form and send it it?
I'm not sure if you can call American Girl to submit a doll to the doll hospital. But I think it would be worth a try! As far as I know, there is no way to fill out a blank form and send it in, all of the info is already filled out when you complete the form online, then you print that out and put it in with your doll.

They didn’t always let you know when your doll arrived, so it’s good they do now!
I just sent a doll in late February/early march and they didn’t send me an email that she had arrived so I was surprised to see it happen here!
