There used to be a number of these early Courtney contest performances on TH-cam.. Courtney has said she saw at age 11 some James Brown videos on TH-cam and everything changed.

This is super cool, really she is showing what she can do. She is an artist that paints every preformance with sound! But you will have to wade your way through to the audition of voice kidds UK when she got her stage presence really kicked in and the Courtney we have come to expect emerged
Hi MH. What an extraordinary performance by Courtney. She was only 11 at the time this was recorded but I defy anyone to close their eyes and listen to this and not hear the voice and talent of someone 20 years older. Even at 11, Courtney was already better than 90% of the adult performers in music, no matter how big the name. Her vocal power, control and versatility, the seamless transitions between different musical styles in the same song and the passion with which she sings was already unmatched and has just gotten exponentially better as she has matured. A few years ago Courtney made a comment about being a fruit loop in a bowl of cheerios or something to that effect. Well we made our own "Courterized Fruit Loop" section to be present in the front row of her concerts. Guess it's time to add a chair for you!
BTW... Awestruck is a great definition!
She is a once-in-a-lifetime artist she could sing any song her own way and make it sound better than the original the song she wrote and sang on American Got Talent was great play the guitar some piano
4230. Considering that she was only 11 years old at the time, she did a blooming amazing job. With every single Courtney song, I cannot work out where that tiny person gets her lung power, she's superhuman. This song, and Liv Tyler were the only things that I liked from the Armageddon movie, I mush preferred the more realistic Deep Impact. And Courtney was just amazing. 5 out of 5, 10 out of 10, I'd even go 100 out of 10 hats, she was, as always, simply phenomenal.
