Looks like a fun backpacking trip. Did you kiss the frog? You could have broken a spell. Hahaha. Yeah, those RW meals are just so so for me as well. Peak Refuel is the only way to go for me anymore. Beautiful lakes and reflections too. Too bad you lost some of your footage. Ugh! I hate hiking in the rain and being wet on the trail. After hiking in the rain last year I decided to get an umbrellas for hikes like this. So far no rainy trips, so I'm just packing extra weight! Haha. Well done on your long mile adventure plus a few for going back and forth to retrieve the camera. Gotta count that! Hahaha. Great trip and video. Have a great day.

The forest with the natural scenery is so beautiful. The fire is really warm. Spending 3 days here with a tent to sleep in is so much fun. Wishing you a very happy first day of the week.
Hi Alex! Whew, those were some long days with high miles! 50 miles is 3 days is a lot! The lake and ponds are really pretty. Fun to see a turtle and a frog and some flowers too. Too bad it poured rain the last day… being soaking wet is a huge challenge. Good to hear you had a good experience with your tent. I have REI tents… 1/2 dome and 1/4 dome - I’ll have to check their weight… esp if I backpack more often in the future… I might get a new tent. I haven’t gotten out much the last couple years. Just found, liked and subscribed. This is a nice hike. I’ve added it to my list on AllTrails. Most of what you filmed looked like good trail as opposed to uneven footing for every step. I’m sure there might have been sections like that. Thanks for sharing.

Great hike! I’m sorry it rained though. I’m hoping to do it in the fall to see the colors. I didn’t do Car Mtn last time, I’d like to do that. I started and finished not far from the store. Getting chips and a cold soda was the best way to end 😂 I’m not sure if I will do 3 or 4 days. My original day one camp was about where your day 2 camp was. I wanted to end with the road lol
Thanks a lot! I did it this way to save my feet from the dam etc but... well, would have been better the other way after all. 3 days is too fast... legs hurts lol

Rain, bugs, congrats on the hike! This had some real ups and downs..but we could tell how rainy it was when your getting soaked under the trees!

I did it in aug '23. nice trip. alittle more vertical than I thought, but still nice. we did it in 4 days which was enjoyable

Did ~40 miles of it but someone in my groups quilt got soaked and it was around 30 so we had to bail. I want to come back and finish tho
