    The ball design is a wonderful idea, but I'm afraid think watering them is going to be quite a task.

    Your landscaping is beautiful and like your terracotta pot idea. Using the small ones to make the balls, would be "different" (which I like) and nice by themselves. Thank you for this idea!!

    I absolutely love these clever ideas. For people that have soil That won't ever be good, this is great for their garden
    Where we live, there used to be a huge rock river bed.....we have a difficult time with plants growing well. Some adhere to the soil, but the plants that I LOVE won't. I always thought we could just put pots in the garden, and here is a good way to do this...thanks for the video...greatly appreciated

    The pots in dome shape are a great idea! So much fun. Thanks for sharing!
    Regarding the vertical garden: I'm not convinced 1x (3/4") boards will be strong enough to last more than one season. Maybe 2x (1 1/2") lumber instead? But the zip tie trick is good. It looks nice and adds style.

    The dome looks lovely but seems like it might be difficult to keep watered.

    • @debbiehenri345
      @debbiehenri345 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For those plants on the underside of the terracotta dome, you could bunch up some moss and glue the inside of the pot just enough to hold the ball of moss in place.
      At the front side (maybe the sunny side of the dome), glue a ready calloused selection of Echeveria cuttings into the moss (if you live in a country where they would survive all year round), or hardy Sempervivums (if you live in colder climes).
      They will hold in there just fine and don't need a load of watering, probably getting sufficient when the other plants are being watered or when it's raining.
      For the back or shady side of the base of the dome, you need a bit more research. In Scotland, there are small wall ferns that get little water, survive shade and quickly revive after a period of drought. These wall ferns can also be glued into a moss ball, this glued into a pot, and given just a quick spray of water to get them going. Scotland's weather is often humid enough to keep wall ferns going, when it isn't they curl up, regrowing once the humidity returns.
