I thought I was losing my purpose in my life and job, 2 years of limbo, depression, and sewerslide thoughts. I finally got help through my family. After thinking about it, it wasn't lack of purpose for me but lack of fulfillment and vision. There was simply no light at the end of the tunnel. But now I have a sturdy yet flexible plan for my future. And have found new purpose that allows me to feel fulfilled at the same time.
I'm reminded of when my brother was let go from a PR job at Patrick Industries and then years later from a registrar job at ITT Tech. He was able to find his purpose working third shift at Meijer. I wouldn't want you to have to be working part time for a retail store, but if push comes to shove...
I think I understand Doc. My mom has been at the same job since I was in kindergarten. Now as the economy is getting cost more but pay less. She is looking for new jobs. She has an injury that is making her current job difficult. I think you and her can relate with this.
Sorry to hear bout the sudden lose of a steady job. Especially when it was a decision by someone higher up and probably not warranted, must be super rough.
As a certain pizza pony would say, HUGS FOR THE GOOD PUPPER! For real though, don't forget your friends, fam, and fans. We love ya and we'll always be there for ya.
Oh, Dr. Wolf. I am sorry to hear you were laid off from your accountant job. For what it's worth, I've always enjoyed your videos, having seen your work from analysing characters of the MLP FIM show and it's episodes you reviewed, to your TF2 series and all the work you did contributing to other channels. I've enjoyed your work for many years now. You always presented an open perspective on things from a calm and delightful manner. As someone who recently struggled with a video upload, I understand now that becoming a full-time TH-camr could have serious ramifications. Anyway, I hope things work out for you in the end, Doc. Best wishes going forward. :)
I can relate to this. I've got a Bachelor's degree in British Literature, and finding employment seems practically hopeless some times. Best of luck in your job journey.
I too can relate to this episode. Back in March of this year, the company I worked for 19 years and 2 months to let us all go since my dad and stepmom decided to shut the company down when they tried their best to keep the company going. Then the next day a friend of my dad’s wanted to hire me and I knew that I would be able to put all my years of experience with my first job to good use.
I can relate too, in 2020, I finally got the best job I've ever had doing wire harnessing of all things. But just last November, they laid everyone off and even packed up our things and escorted us to our cars. I've been struggling to get another full time job ever since.😭
Glad to you back Dr wolf sir this episode is something special with and anyone really I didn't fit in but your point of view is really to begin to help me find me to fit in
This video really made me look back at that episode in a bit of a new light, really makes me want to look back at other episodes and see what i understand better now that i am a bit older. Dr Wolf keep giving it your all in your search for a new job, I hope that you find a place that can see your full potential like we do!!!! Thanks for all you do here on TH-cam!!!

I’m so sorry for your loss doc. I hope you find a new job one day. My mom feels the same way. She’s been teaching for years and doesn’t know anything else and will retire one day but always tries to flow under the radar to not risk her job. I love this episode. Good luck doc. We’re here for you
You’re probably doing this already, but I advise you to use a work email that can’t possibly be tracked back to your TH-cam channel. When I hired people, I used a program that showed me every public place that email was registered (including affiliated email addresses). While I wouldn’t judge someone for their hobbies, it’s possible your online career could be affecting what potential employers think of you. Good luck out there, Doc. I’ll never forget what you said regarding salaries: “Ten percent of what you earn is yours to keep.”
Sorry to hear you lost your job doc. But hey as the old saying goes. When one door closes another one opens. However before you get a new job here’s some words of wisdom from an essential worker. Don’t work too hard. Don’t sell yourself or your soul out for people who will replace you in a heartbeat. Get a job you can count on. (This is coming from past experience) Godspeed and good luck.
Oh wow. I'm sorry your going though this Doc. I hope you get another job at some ponit. We have your back. Also, i can honestly say that, it was because of your video's that ive started my page on fimfiction. So, i hope you continue being you doc. And remember, we will always have your back.

I can see laying off all but one accountant, but *all* of them? Doesn't a business need accountants to keep track of their buying and spending? Sounds to me like the business, itself, is going under. Either that or some shady deals are going down that they don't want anyone to know about.
I know your videos have always put a smile on my face or helped me when I was down. I have a job that has helped me live an okay life, but honestly, I still feel like all of my work in college to earn a Bachelors in Earth Sciences was for nothing, given that my current job has absolutely nothing to do with what I trained for. Heck, even before I found this one I cannot tell you how many resumes I sent out only to get nothing back or the typical "Sorry, we cannot afford to bring you on at this time. Try again next year." Nevertheless, I hope the best for you and Mrs. Wolf, and for what it is worth, you and the rest of the fandom have always helped me keep on going through this crazy train called life. Best of luck. 🙂
So sorry to hear that happened Doc. But yeah, It is indeed hard for someone to find a new purpose after so many years. And that's why I too have always found "A Rockhoof and a Hard Place" to be relatable, Because as Rockhoof proves adapting to an unfamiliar environment and trying to find a new way to fit into to a new way of life can be difficult. But you just can't let it stop you from trying to find a new purpose in life. It may seem impossible but there's always a way. But anyway, Best of luck to you on trying to find a new job Doc. Hopefully you'll find one soon.
Life can really throw some curveballs your way, and it really can hit you when you're at your worst. I wish you all the best, doc, that you come out of this quickly.
You have my condolences about your job. regarding the episode you were talking about in the video I can also relate because there are times I feel like I’m out of time typically I feel like I don’t belong in this particular area and also these days I struggle to find purpose in my life.
I'm sorry to hear about your lost job Dr. Wolf, that can be hard. I hope you find another one soon. I'm still trying to find my purpose in life and am finally at a job that doesn’t feel temporary, but with my first annual revoew coming up. I am super stressed about everything.
I love that you still feel your purpose is in accounting and that you at least have your purpose still on your mind. I definitely have been on the opposite side of that and still trying to figure out how to land that purpose that I actually love for awhile now. Your videos always give me a sense of calm and understanding of what others are going through and looking forward to what could happen in the future Dr. I hope you land that job opportunity soon despite the world acting so crazy right now. You are incredible!
My family is approaching a change in life that involves slowing down in terms of something that gave us purpose. We're wildlife carers for WIRES (a volunteer organisation in NSW), and have raised a lot of Australian natives to release back to the wild. But my parents are getting up there in years and need to slow down, and even though I help as much as I can, I can't keep up as much as I used to. We're helping others get set up to take the load, and aren't planning on stopping completely, but it is still a looming change. This video helped me feel a little better about what's going on. More stable, if you will. I'm prone to anxiety, so that's been an issue lately. But I know we can find our way forward. Thank you.
It sounds like it was very tough to lose that stability you’ve had for so many years, I’m sorry about that. I’ve never had job before. it’s so frustrating that I keep getting rejected. I feel guilty constantly so thank you for this video dr wolf☺️With this, my mind can at least rest for a few minutes
It's interesting that you released this video when you did. I'll be out of a job for a year come tomorrow the 17th. I've applied to so many jobs since being let go, that I've lost count, but have received maybe three calls for an interview. To further add to my frustration, I was all but guaranteed a job, I just needed to submit the application. That was over a month ago. The past several days have found my frustration boiling to the surface. It may sound a bit selfish, but it does help to know that I'm not the only one in this fight. I wish you luck in finding a new position.
I remember when my mom lost her job of being a tax assessor because the people did not want to rehire her. I was so frusterated at them, since she had worked there since I was little. She did manage to find a new job with training and selling horses a job that involved her passion, I was so happy for her. Not to mention I've also had my own problems at finding another job to work along side the other one to work at since the first one wasn't paying well. Since when it came to being a cashier and being well organized not many jobs didn't want to hire me and I applied to a lot. I was thankfully able to find another to join and this video is a good reminder that, even though it may not seem like it there is always a place out there that needs your help. Plus I agree with Doc TH-cam can be very crazy, which is why I like to keep it as hobby, rather than my job. ^w^
I think we all have times when people encounter an episode that post watching we end up with a newfound appreciation after we have a similar experience. And not gonna lie, have been relating more to Zephyr Breeze in Flutter Brutter as of recent.
It took 11 years. 11 years for me to actually relate to one of your videos. I really only ever watch videos about the analysis community when I’m bored. Not sure what that says about me. Not sure I’d call myself a fan more like an observer. I have nothing against you or your friends personally just never got into Mlp for its fandom, only for its characters. Since we’re talking about jobs and being rejected despite having the knowledge and skills required then I suppose I’ll share some insight on my experiences. When I got out of high school a few years back I actually wanted to work in an animal shelter. The high school I went to I groomed dogs and took care of animals you’d find in a pet store. We were taught how to feed em, water em, handle em. Some of us (including me) even wore Ball Pythons around are necks like necklaces. The point is when I graduated I tried applying to work at an animal hospital. That did not go well but the second place I applied at was a Pet Hotel and I did very good with that one. Problem was they promised the position to someone who had broken their leg and he'd get it ounce his leg healed. My brother called bullshit on that. I think I know the actual reason I was not hired despite being qualified to work with animals. I am actually completely blind in my left eye. Been like this since birth. I have no problems talking about it. However it does make job hunting difficult at times. I am very good at interviews but actually getting one is hard simply because of how I look and people assume I can’t do certain things because Im half blind. However despite setbacks I was able to find work and I’ve had this job for the past 4 months. Not sure if I can say I feel happiness or content but I do like to feel valued and I believe i’m valued where I work. Off topic because I refuse to make my life sound like a sob story, I’ve always wondered what petrification feels like. It both looks and sounds painful. Hopefully it really just feels like the body stiffening as it crawls up your whole body. Either way it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience.
I’m actually having trouble with finding a new job right now. It’s been 2 years since my parents and I moved into our current home. I’ve been applying to several retail jobs in my area, multiple times. I did manage to get one almost a year ago, but two weeks later, that store location closed permanently (I wasn’t even done with training yet). You can imagine how much that screwed me up emotionally. To this day, I’ve been forced to rely on my parents financially to take care of my dog, while I keep searching for a retail job in my area. And recently, my dad’s financial info has been getting hacked into (The week of this video, his Social Security). With a fixed income, plus my unemployment, the stress of it has been affecting my creativity, and even the flow of content on my own channel.
I am sorry that you lost your job. I really appreciate everything you & your friends have created on your TH-cam channel especially when I see new videos appearing because they help me understand the lessons and meaning behind the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episodes and they bring joy in my life when I feel there is something out of my control which causes me to stress out. I hope you are able to find a new job and remember that you are surrounded by people who love and care about you who will help you during this difficult situation. 😔🥺😊🤞🤞🍀
I guess I can kinda relate too. When I was younger I had a lot of friends but now that I’m a little older and recently started college my friends barely ever talk to me anymore and it’s been hard adapting to that. It still is hard adapting. As far as I know my old friends all have new friends but when we eventually do meet I’m barely ever included in anything.
Hey Doc sorry to hear that you been layed off it must be hard in losing a job either out of restructuring or corporation greed which is still a on going problem to this day and I know you are a good boy that deserve alot of love ❤️
At the very least we’re glad you didn’t get fired for bad work ethics. This truly isn’t the end but a fresh start, and though I’m not as TH-cam famous as a lot of people, heck you most likely don’t remember me, which is okay. I’ll be there watching your videos and supporting you in anyway I can.
With my existentialism in my soul too much to pester me no less, (and evading your channel otra vece, pardon me), I merely feel useless at times among other entities too, trying to earn a job, (part-time), and still getting vetoed twice and too much will likely let me decide to apparently loose my own mental sanity. 😔
The stone sleep spell did remind me of the many many fansics starring ponies who are either terminally ill or disabled to the point of questioning whether life is worth living (such as Rainbow Dash being rendered flightless) - go to sleep, wake up when Equestria's medical community has a cure ready.
Doctor Wolf i Really Enjoy your videos in a way listening to everyones problems helps me realize im not Alone even tho i sometimes think i am Thank you Doctor Wolf
I been doing this here in germany every 3 years. I do everything right i dont miss a single day volunteer to work on saturdays and even some holidays. After 3 years they let me go because they dont want ppl to get contracts. And this has been going on for years now! Always the same crap! But lil jimmy will get a full time contract in less then 3 months because his unlce works for the company even though lil jimmy cant even unscrew a bolt...in 7 hours let alone speak german!!! I am so done with trying to give my best. Since this year i just work so sloopy and dont care if they give me a full time contract ay new job anymore even my boss tells me if i dont try harder i wont get one and i tell him that i would not have gotten one anyway lol I missed so many conventions because i was prioritizing my job and for what? Nothing! I could have had great memories and instead i am just bitter! End of rant. I hope you do well doc! I wish you the best as always.
good luck in finding a job doctor wolf. also you do really great videos. i hope someday i can do as good videos as you do. maybe if i do a collab with someone i might be able to get better at my cartoons i don't know. i will look around for people to collab with.
I can kind of relate, I think. I got my degree in graphic design, but could not find a position where I live for it. So for the past 3 years (starting 2 years after graduating too, so that was a lesson in patience and perseverance!) I've been working an administrative job. Fortunately, it is something I am very very good at. Menial keeping track of numbers and stuff is something I actually thrive in, so it works out. And the company provides great pay and benefits so I cannot complain about it at all. However, I am very disappointed that everything I learned in my design courses have amounted to little more than a very expensive hobby, between paying for tuition and loans and currently Adobe. I draw and apply my skills when I can during downtime, but there's just so much else I want to do too that I can't help but feel I'm falling behind on all the ideas in my head and practicing more, while so many others get so much done.
My passion is video games, and I make video games as a hobby, it’s been my dream to one day release a video game to the world, and developers have a way harder time trying to create because of corporate mandates, and AI trying to take over creativity, it’s an ongoing fight, and we need that creative freedom to express ourselves!
Look into the "prepper" community. (Ignoring the zombie hoarder aspects...) Minimalist lifestyles, gathering as many resources as possible, find ways to make everything last longer, have a set of chosen gear in case of emergency. Watch videos that explain how to use everyday items to survive situations.
I still haven't found a use for my degree (graduated into the recession, was met with "no" and "never" and stony silence), and I've given up on it. Now I'm just a wife and a mother.
Lol it would be funny if people discovered their purpose when a glowing Tattoo appeared on a person butt 😂 that would make life a little easier 😊 Amazing Video DrWolf
Don't worry Doc, I'm sure you'll find another accounting job somewhere if that's what you want to continue doing. Because you'd be amazed at how many people these days wish that they could hire an accountant. It's all a matter of finding the right employer.
I have missed your videos very much as well as miss talking to you on skype. Recently I had a heart attack and have had to stop job searching to figure out what’s wrong

Having this change foisted upon you must be absolutely the worst. Just a thought: Maybe you can begin to follow the money in a different way now, by being a truth seeker! Truth seekers are always needed! The book The Creature from Jekyll Island by G Edward Griffin is the best place to start, in my humble opinion. It changed the way I see money forever, although in a good way (at least from the perspective of spiritual health and one's purpose in this world, but unfortunately not really a positive light on the way our economy is set up).
1:12 this is the first time in like 3 years they mentioned Mrs.Wolf… she just pops in and out of existence 😭
well, she prefers her privacy, and Dr. Wolf respects it. just because she isnt mentioned doesnt mean she isnt relevant in everyones life, is all!

Either way it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience.
when times change it can be hard to keep up, progress demands change and often many who been doing something for a while replaced for the new
I'm sorry for what happened at your old job @Dr.Wolf, I hope that one day you will find a new job for your accounting skills too. Don't give up, doc.
finding work at the moment is a complete nightmare
Doc. You'll land on your paws again! Making sure it's something you love will be tough. But you'll find a way to keep on helping others.
Seems we're in a similar position doc, Be brave and move forward, Prove to yourself you can do it
I’m actually having trouble with finding a new job right now.
I hope you manage to find a new job soon, Doc. Any vid you put out certainly has my watch.
EverFree Team’s SFM of Diggy Diggy Hole proves Rockhoof could’ve been a miner. ⛏️💎😂
Yeah. With the way things have been going in the economy and specifically the accounting world I am not surprised.
Awesome review, Doc
Hey Doc sorry to hear that you been layed off it must be hard in losing a job either out of restructuring or corporation greed which is still a on going problem to this day and I know you are a good boy that deserve alot of love ❤️
At the very least we’re glad you didn’t get fired for bad work ethics. This truly isn’t the end but a fresh start, and though I’m not as TH-cam famous as a lot of people, heck you most likely don’t remember me, which is okay. I’ll be there watching your videos and supporting you in anyway I can.
I had a similar thing happen to me and I found work with the help of a temp agency that turned into a full-time job.
Glad to be of service :)
Heres hoping you find a new and good place both for yourself and Mrs Wolf good Dr. :(
Poor doc! hope you find a job soon!
I wish you the best of luck in the future. Hope you find a new job soon.
I draw and apply my skills when I can during downtime, but there's just so much else I want to do too that I can't help but feel I'm falling behind on all the ideas in my head and practicing more, while so many others get so much done.
it happen to before looking for a jobs anything do not fit for me but one job did i was very happy for it
Like #100 for the heartfelt new video 🥹🥹🥹
Thanks for the new feels Doc and go hug your furbabies all 💙🐱💙
My passion is video games, and I make video games as a hobby, it’s been my dream to one day release a video game to the world, and developers have a way harder time trying to create because of corporate mandates, and AI trying to take over creativity, it’s an ongoing fight, and we need that creative freedom to express ourselves!
Look into the "prepper" community. (Ignoring the zombie hoarder aspects...)
Minimalist lifestyles, gathering as many resources as possible, find ways to make everything last longer, have a set of chosen gear in case of emergency.
Watch videos that explain how to use everyday items to survive situations.
I know some who been through things like this yes.
Every worker needs a union and worker cooperatives need to be normalized across the country.
I wish you luck Dr wolf.💜👍💯
I still haven't found a use for my degree (graduated into the recession, was met with "no" and "never" and stony silence), and I've given up on it. Now I'm just a wife and a mother.
Lol it would be funny if people discovered their purpose when a glowing Tattoo appeared on a person butt 😂 that would make life a little easier 😊 Amazing Video DrWolf
I have lost my porpuse in life over and over.
Only my wife and children force me to function somehow
Don't worry Doc, I'm sure you'll find another accounting job somewhere if that's what you want to continue doing.
Because you'd be amazed at how many people these days wish that they could hire an accountant. It's all a matter of finding the right employer.
I can understand well
Nice
I am also struggling with trying to find a job. So I could play my part for my mom and my girlfriend
I have missed your videos very much as well as miss talking to you on skype. Recently I had a heart attack and have had to stop job searching to figure out what’s wrong

Have you considered adding video editing, problem solving and critical analysis as part of your resume?
I know what you mean there are some people on TH-cam who get caught of in the fame and eventually lose there way wich is why a only do TH-cam as a Hobbie.

Hi dr wolf
Having this change foisted upon you must be absolutely the worst. Just a thought: Maybe you can begin to follow the money in a different way now, by being a truth seeker! Truth seekers are always needed! The book The Creature from Jekyll Island by G Edward Griffin is the best place to start, in my humble opinion. It changed the way I see money forever, although in a good way (at least from the perspective of spiritual health and one's purpose in this world, but unfortunately not really a positive light on the way our economy is set up).
