My favorite part of August videos is how he talks so naturally to us - even though to him we're just a camera. Just a guy alone in a tree carrying on a full conversation. It's a beautiful thing.
Enjoyed the video. I love my Husky T540i.....so much so, I just bought the Husqvarna 542i rear handle (and it rips). I still start my climbs with my Echo DCS2500T....sorry you had problems with yours. It's so handy for an old fella like me. That was a fun tree to work. Quick and easy. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry to hear you're feeling so sore.... I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue 12 years ago and before I started on the meds I frequently didn't want to get out of bed at all. Even with meds I have many mornings like you've described. Very Frustrating. I think we're similar age. I don't have the injury history you have though. Love the vids... rock on. 🤘
Agree completely on the 261, my first chainsaw 40 some year's ago was an 026 with a 20" bar and have had at least one ever since 👍 Nice little video !!! Pleasure to watch ❤❤ Thank you August !!!
I loved the Echo I used while working for Parks and Recreation - it had a 28" bar and I changed the pitch of the teeth of the chain to a much more chisel like edge - that helped the chain to cut better thru the tree with less hanging ups and kick backs - I wish I'd known that reducing the height of the rakers would also help cutting

@bricebeaulac At your husqvarnadealer would be my guess, that is where I got mine. I bought my 1/4 gear preassembled, but you could also buy a kit. Do remember you would need an impact wrench plus a fitting socket to get the clutch of in order to switch your drive sprocket. Your dealer could also do that for you.
@@DUTCHHUSKY66Treesandforest yeah that's not a big deal, i never bothered to look at the sprocket on the t542i but it's the same size as the previous electric top handle models? So an 8 tooth for a t540i will fit a t542i? That's good news!
@bricebeaulac sorry to say the 542 uses a rim sprocket that does not bolt on to the clutch, that is a different type of sprocket than the 540i uses. The 542 sprocket is similar to gas powered machines.

Nice work
I prefer my husky saws, but my parter has a 261 and it’s by far my favorite sthil saw I’ve ever picked up. Crazy strong and light
Run it against a 550xp mk2 sometime. I have more faith in the 261s reliability, but the 550 is noticeably stronger.
Just remember, if ypu hear the gunshot, they weren't aiming at you.

Great vlog once again and I too love the 50cc powered Stihl MS261 as I too have one M Tronic with standard 18” Bar and Chain love it 😮😮😮
MS 261 is one of my favorite saws. Less displacement than the 291 yet more base horsepower.

Influencer You!!!
Every time I watch you there is this compulsion to fire up the Husky and cut something. 😉
MS261 works like a dream since I got it.
Keep moving keep climbing in 20 years you’ll say can’t believe I’m crossing the 80 year mark.
Keep on keepin on. Stay mobile. Work the kinks out.

Hey August! Nice work! I saw the shorts of the green truck getting a new engine, will that be your go to vehicle once it's back together?
Personal ride ya

Thanks August! Was that a Fundamentals of General Tree Work sticker I saw on your helmet? And if so, where can I get one?

Thanks for the video August! That echo saw has me drooling, is that bar available for purchase or soon to be?
Thanks for the video. You going to get the 261 hopped up?
No
