Just been out with it for the first time in pasture in the UK. Seems to pick up interference, possible emi, probably down to its size. I had to turn sensitivity down to make the coil usable, which would prob mean I'd miss weak deep targets, which is counterproductive! In the field we tried with some small targets that others had dug, and the 18" didn't even reigster them.
Using an easy swing bungee it was fine to use for six hours or so.
Overall I'm not sure I will be keeping it.
The new 18inch Coiltek Coil for the Equinox range should find a range of very deep pre-decimal coins and relics in those thrashed areas Luke. Thank you for showing us this new coil and what it can do. Look forward to seeing you use this in older search areas. Cheers!
What a beast the new 18" Coiltek Coil is @Luke Clatworthy and surprisingly very light for how big it is mate. I reckon we are going to have so much fun in the future revisiting a heap of my old permissions and seeing just how deep this guy goes!😁
Cheers heaps for watching mate, I can't wait to share more very soon🤝👍⛏️🙂
Hi Luke, new sub here. I see you use the Minelab Pro swing 45, I have one as well, it's great! I also use it on my 900. I have health issues which limit the amount of physical activity I can do, so having the pro swing 45 really helps to keep me from "over doing it" so to speak. I purchased the extra side bar so to equal out the harness. It seems to balance the weight better. Just a thought. Nice finds today and I really like your idea of cutting a slit to help avoid over digging and just insert the pinpointer to assist in which way to dig further... Happy Hunting!!
That coil is a monster! Thanks for showing us 😊
It's an absolute beast of a coil to run @Deanne Lewis but super impressed so far. It is light and well balanced and perfect for hunting those larger areas or revisiting a site you know you have found great stuff at before and wanting to snag all those deeper items previously missed. I am now just thinking about all the sites we can revisit and attack again with this new coil. I can't wait! Thanks heaps for joining us tonight, and I look forward to seeing you next weekend😊😊⛏️
Thanks, im buying the 18' And subscribing. Cant wait to use it on the beach.
Top job hope your well hope your week went well have brilliant weekend keep safe brother tezza 👍 😊😊😊😊
Bloody legened thanks so much @Diggersden Tezza U.K.M.D it's been a fantastic week so far and super excited for what's to come next weekend with our event. I can't wait to share the video for future🙂 Cheers heaps mate🤝👍⛏️
Could you do us a 18" vs 15" coil plz? I'm really considering buying the 18 but want to know if its worth it in terms of greater depth
Nice video Luke. That coil looks massive, some nice finds for a sports oval. Thats for showing us the coil at work . Keep up the great work and see you on the next one. Cheers mate 👌👌👍👍🤜🤛
Thanks heaps @joe kolenik what a great site to be hunting mate and it made it even better being able to show off and test out the brand new 18" Coiltek Coil👌 What a beauty it is and very easy to use and swing for its size. I'm most impressed and it's got me now thinking about all those sites I can go back and hunt again!
Cheers heaps mate, see you on the next👍🙂⛏️🤝
Hi I just want to say I love your videos and have been watching lots and one thing you just said about clean hole 🕳️ before I dig my dirt out I put old rag on the ground and then the dirt out of the ground goes on the rag.. Then when I am finished I tip the dirt into the hole and put plug in and pat. Job’s a gooden neat as
Hi there @COIN KILLER Thanks so much mate! I am so glad you are enjoying all my videos🙂👌
The trick with using a old rag is brilliant to and what I used to use, however just brush it all back in the hole with my fingers now and all these sensitive sites I have permission at, so never any issues with my holes. Cheers heaps for watching and take care until the next mate🙂🤝⛏️👍
Do you have a video of what settings you're using with the 18 inch coil? I was testing mine today and it was acting very erratic.
very cool mate i can't wait to get hold of this coil end of month to hit the beach! as always love your content
Im really glad you enjoyed watching @Gold Rat Prospectong Equipment how awesome is this coil mate! I can imagine it would be a game changer on the beach with the increased depth and of course ground coverage👌
You will love it, im sure!
Cheers heaps again mate🤝👍⛏️
Cant wait mate gunna be a game changer for deep targets and coverage
JUST TELL HIM YOUR LOOKING FOR RABBIT'S GOT ONE KAREN LAST WEEK IN THE PARK.
Or underground pipework @Brett ellis works everytime😄
@@DigItDetecting here is a DIRT SECRET. ARE YA READY.
1 dollar and 2 dollar coins and spikes , must have been a market there sometime ago. Very impressed with the depth of the 18 inch coil.
All good items to be retrieving off this oval @Roberto Giuseppe I reckon your right to mate. A few markets taking place with those alloy spikes! I can't wait to get back for round two hunting with the new 18" especially when that ground is a bit softer. Cheers heaps mate🤝👍⛏️
Loved your informative video, thanks! By the way, that's a cell phone tower giving you all that EMI grief 🙂
Im really glad you enjoyed watching this video @Michael Wolf it was great to be testing out that new 18" on film and showing what it can do!
Ah huh...that's what it is! No wonder it was throwing the detector around😂 Cheers heaps mate, catch you on the next👍👍⛏️
New coil….looks great 👍👍👍
A great first hunt with the new 18" Coiltek coil @Lisa R and a great run on the coins at this new site to. I'm really glad you enjoyed watching😊⛏️
Got the 15 inch. That looks a monster.
It sure is a monster of a coil @Detecting Daft but what a ripper mate. If you love the 15 inch then the 18 is a step up again with depth and of course, the huge amount of coverage. It is super powerful and very impressive to use🙌
Thanks for showing us this coil Luke, I pre-ordered one this morning and cant wait to see how deep it goes. It should bring up targets on pounded ground . Were you still running your recovery speed at 8 with it I presume? Great video as always!!!!
Awesome to be showing off this brand new beast of a coil @stinkasscat and I am super impressed at how light it is for its size mate. I actually reduced my recovery speed down to 6 on this oval just due to fewer targets in the ground and swinging a bit slower too.
Now I am just imagining all of the sites I can take this new coil back again to hunt in the future!
I am sure you'll really enjoy yours also mate and have plenty of success with deep targets.
Best of luck and happy hunting out there until the next! Cheers heaps👍⛏️
Where did you manage to pre order from I havnt been able to find any yet
@@davidpearson9036 I replied earlier and for some reason it disappeared. Give Dan a call at Outlaw Metal Detectors. He's out of Oklahoma and He will order you one. He's a cool dude, tell him Ron sent you. 👍👍👍
I've just learnt a new technique. "Tickle The Grass" 😂😂😂😂
Haha @I Dig It Melbourne it works a treat👌👌😆😆
We're are the gold buttons sovereign oval I hope I do love that grass soil looks good sandy???.
Shit your keen lol. Space ships should fly.????.
@Brett ellis I love it mate. The new 18" Coiltek Coil hits hard and deep👌👌
Hi, good afternoon, is this the same 45 cm reel that you have on ebay? Does it fit any Equinox?
Would like to see this im a test garden or air test vs 15 " to see depth potential
👍
Bugs bunny would be proud.
With the larger coil. Is there a greater use of the battery?
When and where is your event?
@Ausfox; I believe your right it would drain the battery quicker using more power. Something to test more for future.
All our event details are located in the Dig It Detecting Facebook private Group for this Saturday🙂⛏️
My arm hurts just looking at this pic 😮
You would presume because of its size it would be heavy to swing @idigthat73 but it's really not at all mate. It's very well balanced and light to run. Plus hits crazy deeeeep on targets!!😁⛏️
@DigItDetecting have you seen the size of his arms though? 😂
Haha this @Darren Norman🤣🤣
Don't worry Luke, I'll stick up for you here mate and even let you have a swing of the new 18 and pull those deep silvers mate👌😉👍
@@Working925detecting size matters
@@DigItDetecting thanks ol mate ol buddy ol pal, sorry I missed the chat was out finding a couple bits of silver, including florin #15 yea baby!!! Can't wait to give the little 18" a whirl!!!! 👍👍What do you call that? A whole baby??😂😂 Now, I better go check out the vid!
I assume you have good connection with 'Coiltek. Can you ask them If the have any plans for 6" coil for the Manticore. Btw If you think you have trashy detecting areas, you haven't tried a beach in Thailand. Bottle caps, scew caps and a sh*t load of garbage and sometimes a few coins.
A 6 inch would be awesome to see for the manticore in future @Michael Mr Rabbit Josefsson the trash is also where the treasure sits😁
Thanks heaps for watching mate👍⛏️
JUST WING IT IE PICK A TOWN GO 250KM STOP TURN AROUND FROMBACK AND FRONT OF WHAT EVER YA DRIVE DO A 💯 METER SWEEP. THEN DRIVE WHAT EVER COMES UP ON THE DICE SHAKE THEY GO INTO CUP HOLDER YER I USE A GOLD CUP FOR 🤞 LUCK IF IT IS A DOUBLE 6 =12 KM NEXT SWEEP . WHAT COULD YA FIND WELL SCRUBS ROOS AND THERE ROUND. THEN DO A 500KM RUN. ENJOY.
Plug cutter pays to buff teeth up with 5 nis flapper dise cuts polishing O---MY. BETTER FOR ROOT SYSTEM A CLEAN CUT.
My Digger could do with a sharpen @Brett ellis however still cuts a very neat plug with ease😁
@@DigItDetecting not here ground is hard as 🔹 diamond.
This coil for extra pro ?
Please this coil test with extra pro
Tanks
thinking 6" was big LOL
The 6 is a ripper coil @Smokeydk but for the best depth and coverage the new 18" is where its at👌 I'm just imagining all the sites that I can utilize this coil in future too. Such as racecourses, sporting ovals, and even the beach. There's gonna be a lot of sites we need to revisit and check out again now!
Cheers heaps for watching with us tonight mate🙂👍⛏️
@@DigItDetecting when are you putting up magnet fishing vids..?? LOL
I will be checking out a few wells very soon @Smokeydk i just need more spare time🙂
