Could Kiribati and other Pacific Island Nations buy land in say Australia and New Zealand to have self-governing communities within those countries?

There's a remedy and solution. You need to do is build an artificial island as what did china in Philippines sea.Ask support from the Australian gov or In U.S to build artificial islands

Higher well walls. To decrease the frequency of salt water flooding in. Just a thought. Build higher solid plinths on the highest parts of the Island. The Japanese March 2011 Tsunami was about 4 to 5 meters. Or live in flat bottomed house boats. Float when wet and act as a house when dry. Have a nice day.
How can climate change remain the same. With each advance in technology and increasing populations by the millions then by the billions the people open up more tundra and further North and south. They too want to be warm and so they melt snow and Ice. Maybe sea level will rise another meter in the next 20 years. But I do not think you can blaim every one else when you live in your Island paradise land of luxurious natural beauty with the worlds highest birth rate. With your highest mountain (Mount Pancake) at only 39 feet above sea level. You sure do have a sea level problem, if. The problem of not enough Island resources such as sand and rock to build a 5 meter sea wall wide enough to with stand the millions of tons of sea water. So maybe circular sea walls a half mile in radidus to start with in the dentral Island so you can at least stand on that if a big wave happens. Then Groins to catch more resources as sand is deposited by deposition. Then you or your children can build more. Don't plant orages or exotic fruit or even pretend you have some or else you could attack millions of thirsty industrial works who think you have it all. Lol. Ban the internet and cameras as people are already showing how beautiful your beaches are. Put signs on the beaches saying 'Radio Activ, Keep Away'. Tell any passing ships not to land due to very serious contamination. Reactor 2 could explode any day.
