I love how this film eclipses all the decades of tech: 70s radio, 80s rotary phone, 90s tele, 2000s cell, brand spanking new washer! !!! Love it! Great job! !
That's a fine observation, although I would think that the radio was perhaps two or three decades before 1970's. Maybe the sliding door was 1970's, but who cares. Your observation is good.
@@Piaseczno1 Brilliant film! Yes, the radio is definitely pre-1970s. Those radios were antiques even 50 years ago. But I agree, there are strong elements in both decor (and also in filmmaking styles) that are incorporated from the 1970s (and earlier) to modern day. Definitely a huge Dario Argento influence with the moody casting of blue lights and red lights, etc., as he often used. The freeze-frame shots at the beginning and end are definitely 70s and early-80s inspired from some horror films of that era (I'm a big fan of freeze frame shots, hehe), and much of the horror sound effects and music is old-style from classic horror movies. And so much more! Character name nods to other horror films (Casey from "Scream"); main character nod to scream-queen actress Heather Langencamp from "A Nightmare on Elm Street;" the famous "Poltergeist" shots of the girl in front of the TV and from the side view, etc. I'll definitely be rewatching this many, many times to discover more gems. Wow, this is definitely one of my most favorite short horror films everrrrrrr! Best Wishes, everyone!

The setting - a single girl in a large house, with glass doors, is enough to creep one out! Every sense screams 'get someone to be with you!'. But a small confusion, what's Jamie? If she's a carrier, why didn't the spirit claim her in the first place?
The witch took the form of Jamie, her little sister. Jamie wasn’t at home at all, the entire time. The mom confirmed this on the phone. I think the cat was perhaps either the witch in disguise or the witch’s familiar and led her to the house! Also she confirmed on the phone to her friend at the beginning she was a virgin, and I’m assuming the witch needed the soul of a virgin to gain her youth/beauty back! :D

Heather, darling, when crazy shit is happening around you, your call actually connects to your mom and you basically tell her "OH MY GOD MOM JAMIE DISAPPEARED FROM HER ROOM YOU GOTTA COME HOME" and your mom is like "???? Jamie is here with us, what are you talking about?".... you don't then slowly put the phone down while your mom calls your name and turn to look at the "Jamie" now standing behind you. Like yeah, granted, you're probably dead anyhow, but at least tell your mom you love her first.
I probably would have assumed I had lost my mind and proceeded to yell into the phone that I was pretty sure I was hallucinating, but yes, adding “Love you” at the end would be nice. Then again, I think she was in shock when she realized Jamie had never been in her house at all.
Ghost: suddenly turn on the tv that shows about horror movie Gurl: oh hey, what a good entertainment, imma watch this with a glass of tea Ghost: bruh... :/
I love the 1970's/80's vibe and the fact that the mother checks in on the protagonist at the end which confirms that it's all real rather than the protagonist waking up from a dream, etc. I also realized the second time around the movie begins and ends with an ear piercing scream, love that. Excellent short.
Thoroughly enjoyed this piece! For me, it had a hint of the old Hammer horror films of the 60s and 70s, and I loved that retro feel. Great job, Pablo Pastor!
Wonderful one, I really love that 80s horror stylisation with a gentle modern touch. It's actually quite nice to watch a horror movie for the fun of it and not to have to look for deeper meaning all the time.
Things you probably didn’t realise: 1. The girl didn’t brush her teeth before going to bed 2. 6:04 there is a black human figure in the mirror, behind the girl in a yellow sweater

I love the use of the primary colors! It was so beautiful. And the nod to "Scream" was very clever, along with a couple other movies with the character's names, a few scenes, and it was a creepy joy to watch. I get the feeling I will pick up more on repeat viewings, which I fully intend to do! What was the movie that Heather was watching?
Her hairstyle (the bleached blonde short bob with bangs) is such a throwback to Drew Barrymore’s iconic role in the opening of “Scream” which I’m sure was intentional (as was her choice in clothing.. aka the beige sweater). I love it!

I gave it thumbs up as soon as I saw the original House on Haunted Hill clips- one of my absolute favorite movies! You did an excellent job of working it into this movie! The corpse at the end recalls the dead bodies from The Ring. Really good stuff
The beginning def pays homage to the first scream. Even the hair she has is like Drew Barrymore's in the first flick. Very cool. Like even the HOUSE too. Well done.

The Scream homeage on the thumbnail intrigued me. Right down to her mate on the phone's name being Casey.. definitely a Scream nod. Her looking out the door to the tree etc...very Screamish. Nice👌🏻. I'm only a few minutes in but I had to stop and give a super high five for the 70s feel about everything but then we here a product of present day on the phone referencing her cellphone. From the opening scene, television, the sweater, the tea pot, her house decor, the Title Card, and the corny pause. I loved this so much.
When I was a child I was terrified of witches. Now I'm an adult and i watched this ALTER Horror Short Film. I am once again, terrified of witches😨.. outstanding job, as always❤

And there is myth in our country about black cats .l do not know weather it is a real or fake But people say that if a black cats comes to the house which does not belong to us than there is something wrong it is a bad sign.And if a black cat crosses the path then we should change our way .we may get an accident. Whatever happened with her at 6:15 it has happened even with me.

Nothing gets me amped up like seeing a new concept being done in horror. I feel like it's all been done. I've never personally seen anything like this short before. The way the water from the tap and the rain was something else completely 🐛 when this bad lady was near was so damn cool!!! I loved this from start to finish and I'm picky about what I call good because there's always so many terrible ones out there or decent ones but with story lines and villains that have already been done, but this one added some originality that I haven't seen in some time. Well done 👏

The girl in the yellow sweater it's me because l like the cats too much in the same way.l would havedone the same thing like what she has done at 3:22 in the story. I am from India 🇮🇳. And there is myth in our country about black cats .l do not know weather it is a real or fake But people say that if a black cats comes to the house which does not belong to us than there is something wrong it is a bad sign.And if a black cat crosses the path then we should change our way .we may get an accident. Whatever happened with her at 6:15 it has happened even with me.

Nothing gets me amped up like seeing a new concept being done in horror. I feel like it's all been done. I've never personally seen anything like this short before. The way the water from the tap and the rain was something else completely 🐛 when this bad lady was near was so damn cool!!! I loved this from start to finish and I'm picky about what I call good because there's always so many terrible ones out there or decent ones but with story lines and villains that have already been done, but this one added some originality that I haven't seen in some time. Well done 👏
