Absolutely brilliant video with some great angles and locations with some brilliant locos. Sadly I couldn’t make it this weekend but at least I got to see some footage of it. My next railway visit is probably the Battlefield line winter Warmer gala next weekend
Excellent video John with a good choice of locations. The GCR have always had a great set of freight wagons but I thought the tanker train looked especially good
Austin, Yes their freight stock is very good and the number of freight trains running on the day was excellent. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
Great coverage and interesting viewpoints John. made a change to open at the crossing at Thurcaston but seems you weren't alone Lol!! Nice that you took the different angle at Kinchley Lane but was waiting for a few shots at Rabbit Bridge. Twilight at Loughborough was a nice finish!! Regards, Brian.
Brian, Yes it was certainly surprising to see Luke & Liam appearing at the crossing. The vegetation clearance at Kinchley Lane has opened up plenty of new angles. As for Rabbit Bridge they tend to shut off before the bridge. The twilight clip at Loughborough turned out to be one of the best of the day especially as it had to be handheld due to shooting through a palisade fence. Regards, John
@@GreatBritishRailways1 Yes I'm sure it was John.... they get everywhere lol. Yes, the field shots were a nice change from the usual at KL, I like the South facing view at RB myself especially for those starting at Swithland but you don't get the crews playing to the gallery. Regards Brian.
Superb video from GCR Gala John, a great variety of locos and other rolling stock in action. Regards, Jeff.
Jeff, Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
Some great coverage for you both!
Was a pleasure to catch up at the first spot. Kinchley lane must of been rammed all day
Liam, Good to meet up with you both and yes Kinchley Lane was extremely busy. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Regards, John
