    I was in the Philippines in August/September with the wife and we rented a place about an hour away from Boracay. For the full month of September all-in we spent less than $600. We did what we wanted and were eating pretty good as well. The place we rented was fully furnished and was 7500 pesos per month 2br/2cr, nice place.

    Thanks for sharing your expenses. I think I could live comfortably on 1700 a month in the Philippines. Hope it doesn't increase too much by next year when I plan to move there. I'm in Texas at present, 61 and looking to maintain my middle class lifestyle with less money.

      You should be good with that budget outside of the popular expensive areas. Just prepare well for the cultural differences.

    Good information, I live in Cebu City, IT Park. In a luxury Condo (50k pesos a month/ $850). All in (groceries, eating out, electric, misc spending) it costs me right at about $2,000. Not including extra travel. To living this western style life in Hawaii, would cost at least $6,000 plus.

      Mostly agree Over 70, sometimes medical care is number 1. It also depends how many cars, houses and employees you have. How many kids in college? How much alimony and child support you pay
      There could be massive student loans or tax liens Certainly, housing is not clearly number 1 for many.

    I retired here in the Philippines about two years ago. My biggest disappointment is how lonely you get. Very few people where I live speak English well enough to have a conversation. I knew a lot of Filipino in America, and all of them spoke good English. Not so here.
    The other drawback is that there is nothing to do here. It is really hard to make friends here. I really have nothing in common with these people..

    Yeah, I’m in Michigan and I’m with Xfinity for my cell phone number and I will want to keep that when I get over there so will any company let me keep my number and do I need a eSIM that you were talking about because when I get over there, I still will have my service with Xfinity until I get my number ported it over to another SIM card I guess then I can just cancel Xfinity but it’s really important as you know to keep your phone number for your familyin banking

      @BackwoodsEXPatriot  วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's possible to live on $1000 per month in America, you just would have to severely lower your standard of living. My dad had a friend who lived in a school bus with no electricity, I'm sure he lived on $200 or even less...it just co.es down to what you consider living

And also if your saying that I dont like his channel I just want you to know I'm the one telling him to do vlog again even if at first he dont want and I'm telling you I'm the happiest person when he decided to do it again. I'm his # 1 fan no matter what people say ,calling him fat and what so ever I always support him. just don't judge by what you see coz you don't know what's happening behind that video and in our real life.
