Love the friendship of Connor and James ... both very intelligent men with a great sense of humour
Goes to show you can love two very different people with a love that transcends time. Ridge, the boy who could never grow up to commit to only one, tied up all three people in the years bouncing back and forth until it became a circus too predictable and boring to watch. Sally though...what a character! What a joy to watch Darlene Conley. Especially in scenes with another superb actor, Susan Flannery.
This episode proves without a doubt that Ridge & Taylor also have a psychic connection.

Precisely! I wrote about Ridge & Taylor's psychic connection in episode 1904. The show has always toyed with mysticism when it comes to Ridge and the women he loves. Both Bridge and Tridge have psychic connections.

Funny how Brooke always would tell Taylor that only she (Brooke) and Ridge have this connection (esp bc of Bridgit).. Now she's getting Ridge professional help to break that connection she always pretended didn't exist between him and Taylor.

@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, the "psychic connection" is a recurring theme on B&B, usually in terms of one character "sensing" something about another character. But it very rarely actually has any impact on the plot - that is, very few characters (that I can think of) _act_ on those psychic intuitions, or make decisions based on them. It's usually just used as a way to signal "closeness".

Bc I always recall Brooke telling Ridge he could never be as happy with Taylor as with her, and she always told Taylor the same thing any chance she got, esp after Bridgit was born and they got the "paternity" results.
She's just pretending to be understanding, but she can't stand knowing that part of Ridge's heart belongs to another

In Ridge's defense, he mourned Caroline too. But that's in the past now and just like Taylor, she will always be in his heart. Since the current storyline is about Taylor!😊

Caroline has been mentioned plenty of times in the past. He doesn't need to mention Caroline each time he remembers Taylor. Plus the loss of Taylor is much more recent so thus much more raw and at the forefront of his mind.

It strangely parallels that story, Diana, as better looking as she was from Camilla, never got Charles to forget about Camilla, his marriage suffered because of it and still is with Camilla today.
It seems to be a common thing in this show that virtuous women marry men they don't love for the sake of children that aren't actually theirs. Taylor did this with Omar, and then, years later, Hope did it with Thomas. This rather mysoginistic storytelling trope is clearly meant to portray them as self-sacrificing martyrs. Contrast this with Brooke who very often uses her children as a reason to get a man to marry her. Interesting to consider how children represent something very different in the lives of each of these women.
Brooke only did that with Ridge. When she had been pregnant with Eric's baby, she had been ready to abort it without ever telling Eric- had been pushed by her brother Storm to marry Eric, the father of her child, the safe choice, when Brooke had started to waffle again.
With Brooke, we had others sometimes telling Brooke to chose a man because of the kids, or Brooke thinking she should do it (Eric, Deacon, Nick), but we had Brooke then deciding that she loves Ridge more - or in Deacon's case Stephanie telling Brooke she can't do that to Bridget and that Stephanie would help Brooke with the newborn.
But yes, while Brooke had been ready to raise _Nick's_ unborn baby with Ridge (before the paternity test showed that it is Ridge's baby), Brooke later used her kids to try to get Nick to leave Taylor (but failed).

Ridge wonders why he is thinking so much of Taylor ..Can she be trying to communicate something ??? As if he shouldn’t be grieving anymore for his wife who has only died what 4 months ago ?? How stupid
Of course he could still just be thinking of her (4 months are not that long ago), but going by what has happened, it is more likely his subconsciousness triggered by his interactions with Taylor alive (even when he then had not recognized her eyes or voice) and trying to tell him that Taylor is alive.
It s truly a tragedy..Omar's misconstrued lie which Taylor bought n believed that Ridge is somehow happier with his new wife n children..when infact he s definitely aching n longing for her time and again.

Ok ok my theory is that all the people in the palace have been kidnapped by omar and are forced to participate in his prince cosplay. His real name is Omar Prince but he owns a car dealership and several camel burger fast food chains. He started kidnapping disgruntled employees, and set up this palace so they can work for him for free. The kids belong to his employees who thought they were going to summer camp.

They did say the wedding would be a mix of Western and Moroccan traditions. (Basically an excuse for the writers not to do any research and just do a regular American wedding with some foreign accents and costumes.)

I started binge watching B&B from the beginning about a year ago. I just came here to say today, that I'm so sick of Ridge pining away over Taylor 🤢. The only other storyline that keeps my interest right now is the Eric & Sheila mess. 😂

While Stephanie has the police and the DA at her beck and call, Brooke has her former boyfriend/ the shrink on her back and call. Ridge will get counseling even when he never has asked for it. - But I doubt that James will really do what Brooke expects him to, because James seems more into his own agenda - and that is his intuition that Layla is really Taylor.
To think she left life as a princess to go be with a man who never gave her his full heart and constantly Chose Brooke even til this day!! Smh 🤦🏾♀️
