OMG! FINALLY. That is gorgeous. Been looking for an RV with incinerator EVERYWHERE!

The handle at the bed is for adjusting incoming air. This is a dedicated winter caravan and in the winter you want to decrease the incoming air. In the summer you increase. The air passes through the radiator to be preheated. When its -25 C its nice to have warmed up fresh air

TDL is the toilet floor plan, FK stands for "front kitchen" KS means King Size, the whole caravan is wider, and 780 is the length. @ 6:25 It's fresh air intake.

    Hi Andrew!
Great Review as always! Since I am Swedish i can explain a few things I think.
The end of the name, FK KS stands for: Front Kitchen and King Size. King Size indicates that the caravan is 250 cm wide.
An interesting thing about Kabe is that they recently bought 21,5 % of the Brittish Manufacturer Coachman.
The little lever beside the bed is for Kabes innovative Vario Vent system that allows you to control the fresh air inlet in the floor.
You can pretty much say that Kabe is made to live permanent in and they are suppose to attract those customers that want absolute everything and for who the money is not an issue. But, good to know is that the Imperial Line from Kabe is their absolutely top of the line range and due to this, the Cinderella toilet is still an option. Here in Sweden it costs about 3200 euro to add this neat gas-powered toilet to the options list. The toilet works with a special paper bag you put in the bowl. You do your business and when you stand up and close the lid the bag sucks don in the compartment where burning takes place. The heat leads up and out through a chimney on the roof. For a family of four the total amount of ash when using the toilet for a whole summer is about one decilitre.

I kind of want the Imperial 1000. 22 square meters of living space. It would probably be wildly impractical to tow, but what a rolling palace.

@@andrewjditton I know this is an old video but I could not resist to comment. Tak = Roof in Swedish. Thought that was fun. Tak is danish for thanks Takk is Norwegian and in Swedish its Tack. Only a small detail that was fun for a Swede. I hope you have a great day.

    Thanks for a great video.
    I’m sorry to say.
The toilet is old news. The defunct Swedish caravan company Cabby had it as an option under the name Cabbyloo. They introduced it in 2013.

    • @cr0ft-2k
      @cr0ft-2k 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The Cabbyloo seems to have been a variant of the Cinderella Gas. But I suppose I can see the high price of these be an issue for mass adoption. They also burn 110 grams of LPG for one "flush". Still, they do look like the absolutely ideal way to deal with the bathroom issue. Cassette toilets are disgusting, black tanks are disgusting, composting toilets are fortunately less disgusting but all that pee emptying is still kind of a drag, but these - a cup of ash a month, that's sterile and can be used to fertilize a garden.

The Toilet is really a neat feature, Composting Toilets such as the Natures Head are being installed this side of the Pond. The Touch Screen has been used by Pleasure Way in their Plateau product for a bit, along with Multiplex wiring. This is a very Nice rig!

It's HUGE and very nice indeed. Coachman, please take note of the front locker space!
When I go caravanning I use the toilet a lot more than when at home, for some unknown reason. So an incinerator would be ideal.
Everything is clear, except for being unsure what FK stands for.

I think think the handle by the bed is connected to a puppet on the outside wall. As you move the lever the puppet waves to people passing by. If it's not then it should be. Or it might be controlling an air vent.

Let's hope that the Cinderella incinerator toilet burns the waste after and not while you are sitting on the toilet; otherwise, the incinerator toilet could give a whole new meaning to "Hot Cross Buns" :-)

Andrew - you’re on fire today! 🔥🔥🔥 I definitely do not need swish at my age but properly designed units with an attractive aesthetic would be welcome. Galley was fabulous! Might this be competition for the Airstream line?

This unit, or the Airstream Tommy Bahama for 100k €? I'd absolutely buy the Kabe, and spend the 20k€ difference on a powerful towing vehicle. Even though the Airstream will probably keep its value better.

Fancy Shmansy. Unfortunately it takes a great deal of power or gas to incinerate deposits. Off grid this is a big issue. Composting separating toilets tasker only a tiny watt to run the fan. Others don t use fans at all. But you still have to remove the deposits. Not a big deal as we do it for our dogs every day.😁

I’m just wondering about that leaver by the bed... Could it have been some sort of cover that when closed stops the hot air rising from the Alde radiator, was there one by the other bed too? If so a very good idea, if one person prefers it to be cooler at night. 👍

The Cinderella toilets cost FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS.... I think I'll go ahead with buying an Airhead composting one instead. However... they do make them as gas burners now. The electric versions are 230 volts, and use from 0.8 kWh to 1.5 kWh per... uh.. deposit and peak consumption of 2000 watts. Supplying that from a battery would probably require pretty beefy battery packs, but with gas I suppose that's a non-issue. Although, to burn one deposit to ash, it will burn for 1.5 hours, so that would probably take a big bite out of the gas bottle. Maybe there's a reason why the front cabinet of that trailer is enooormous? :)

It's a good-looking caravan but too high maintenance for my taste. The incinerator toilet sounds like a great innovation at first but when you stop to think about cost, maintenance, repairs, and upkeep it's too much faff. IMO nothing beats the composting toilet for off-grid, boondocking-friendly choice. And for this price, I'd rather look at and explore the airstream choices. Thank you for these videos. Even though I'm not there, seems like I'm also in Dusseldorf.
