Why does Riku's Keyblade have an eye in it? I can't remember.
@@God-T His original weapon was called Soul Eater, a blade he learned to summon in the first game. Though, not explained by whom he learned it from exactly. It's not really explained why it has the eye but the working theory ties it back to the same Keyblade that the Master of Master's, Xehanort and now Xigbar (Luxu) used, uses. The Gazing Eye that's embedded within it allows the MoM to see everything that's happening at all times. Though, there is a debate on the other eyes being variants, I believe they probably serve the same function. Vanita's keyblade also has this kind of eye. There isn't real proof to say there's a connection but it's strongly assumed. As to why Riku specifically had such a weapon? Most likely has to do with darkness itself. That the eye needs to monitor specific people as either an experiment or for some other purpose. We still don't know much about the MoM, so who knows what he's planning exactly.

@@dannyheartfiliabaka2717 well his hair definitely got cut shorter so I don't think they were simply only gelled back. Not only does the front look shorter now, but the back is too. At the start if you look closely, he has his Dream Drop Distance hair, which reaches a little below his shoulders and over his ears
As cool as Braveheart is, I still prefer way to the dawn and wish Riku kept it.
I hated Way to the Dawn for a while the symbolism was great but the design didn't really stick with me. It always seemed to visually clash with Riku and only got remedied in 3, I like it more these days but I am still happy it got changed

I got stuck on demon tower as riku on critical because his shortcuts are drastically different from mine. So instead of using thunder id use cure.

I wish Riku could've kept the Way to the Dawn keyblade. It suits him to a T. Maybe in KHIV, Riku can combine his old keyblade with his new Braveheart keyblade.

Mickey got 2 keyblades he has the yellow one to go into the world of Darkness then we'll probably talkin about that store one day put so much detail and then at the beginning of the game

Well, keyblades do upgrade to become more powerful and evolve, so there's that. You can notice that in Union X as well and earlier in this video when Mickey suggested they should've upgraded their keyblades before coming here. I suppose Riku' Way To The Dawn was just not strong enough to sustain enough damage and broke under the pressure of the Demon Tide

He fused the Kingdom Key D, which he found in the Realm of Darkness and was never the true master of, with Star Seeker, his original Keyblade, the one whose chain was given to Sora in KHII when he got Valor form. This end result is a Keyblade that Mickey is the master of.

Playing this threw off. You mean to tell me a tower of shadows can snap a keyblade, but Way to Dawn and Sora's keyblade can cut skyscrapers? I also don't understand how you can leave a keyblade- and get another. I can understand swapping a keychain. Does Yen Sid have some sort of magical power that can make us keyblades? They're starving us on some juicy lore.

Idk, I think it matches his outfit better and contrasts the Kingdom Key perfectly and in a different way than D did. Way to Dawn is too different and dark to feel like that.
It makes a lot of sense since Sora and Riku are meant to contrast eachother afterall.

RIKU'S HAIR IS IMPORTANT TO THE STORY. Rewatch this and think very hard about whats happening.
Riku's hair is transforming into Sora's Hairstyle. Yozora is a combination of Sora, Riku, and Kairi, in one heart!
Since Sora has 3 compartments to his heart, So then too must Yazora. Actually, I think the Master of Masters has 4 Heart Compartments.

With each passing year, I miss Way to the Dawn and the more I resent and out right dislike Braveheart. Do get me wrong I understand the symbolism and junk but… it just so boring design wise and it’s just doesn’t fit Riku and sticks out like a dull sore thumb compared to everyone else’s which are all so out there
