i've always been sceptical about trying to combine classical music with metal, because 99% of the time it's just pretentious kitsch, but with igorrr it somehow works. maybe it's because the music is just so over the top, it knocks you down.
It's so pretentious it loops back to being reasonable. The self awareness helps.

M.A. Ross This guy kinda exists in his own sphere to be honest. mixing all his favourite things from balklan guitars to baroque harpsichord styles, eastern musical styles, breakcore, black metal, late romantic classical. He even uses his own made up language to sing in I believe, either that or a premade fake language.
Really fascinating music. Even had a starring vocal role for his pet chicken.

I never listened and never liked metal music but this is just incredible and its actually one of the best things ive ever heard. So much detail in the song. Its is more than very well done. WOW. Pumped me up for the workout i just want to go into gym and squat 600 pounds, on one leg.

Honestly what I got out of it is that they're drowning, from the moment the video starts they are drowning. this is the pull of death upon them. Their mind is trying to make sense of the chaos when it simply put is that they are drowning. it's why at the end they're pale. They have joined death which are these cool dancing people with skirts that fight each other.

Those metal parts are next level. I love how it evolves metal clichés to another. 05:15 is so generic brutal death metal, then some gothic elements at 05:24, 05:33 reminds me a bit of the Florida death metal scene that trasforms into epic grindcore, to some Thrashy Death Metal and more Grindcore. Awesome. During the first metal I could swear some part felt very Black Metal.
I gotta add that genres doesn't really matter and I am not so obsessed by it as it may seem. It's just that when you grew up during that era when genres were very important because it was what many identified with. Therefore discussion about metal music have this high likelyhood to end up in something 'genre'.
Maria Sigrist is awesome. First time I see her, and that stare at the end is amazing.

This video for me symbolizes the deprivation of salvation.The man in the suit gets into knowledge (when the man submerges into water). When one encounters institutions (the black man at the first scene), words won´t penetrate you at first, but as you dwelve deeper into knowledge (the black man forcefully sinks the guy in a suit) it's easier to become indoctrinated, and words (the old lady) and followers (the white powdered guys) will try to take your suit off and deprive you of air (salvation) and will try to make you sink in with them to ideologies.
