    Hi Jim can you tell me how many zeroing profiles the cheetahs got?

    • @jimwood

      Hi Jason from memory it has 5 mate. I don't have the unit anymore as it had to go back. Just give optics warehouse a call they will confirm it for you. Are you thinking of getting one?

    Excellent video Jim and nice shooting ... I had to send my Sightmark Wraith night vision scope back to get looked at , it will not hold zero... Zeroed it again 2 weeks ago and missed 2 foxes , then shot at a target and was 4 inches low and 3 inches to the right .. Wasn't happy !!!

    • @jimwood
      @jimwood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Shane 👍 and oh thats not good mate, I can imagine how annoyed you must be. I hope it gets fixed mate and you can get back out after the foxes again. Let me know what the problem was I would be interested to know 👍

      Thats not good Shane. Its bad enough when you miss and you're scope is sighted in, let alone when it's out. Hope it gets sorted soon mate 👍

    Nice shooting , what would you pick this scope or the Zulus 5x20 ? Thanks

    • @jimwood
      @jimwood  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks 👍 and personally I would choose the cheetah. The main reason is the cheetah is more suited for a right handed shooter which I am and the Zulus is more suited for a left hand shooter. They are both very good scopes and I would say the Zulus image quality during the day is better to. But for me the cheetah would be the one I would go for but that's just my opinion. They both have good and bad points but what digital scope doesn't.

    Hi mate, awesome video, just wondering how you’ve got the cheetah mounted as I’m looking at getting one for my 452 but it’s a dovetail rail?

    • @jimwood
      @jimwood  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate thankyou for that. Mine is mounted on a picitinny rail which I got from my local gun shop and the reach back mount for the scope goes straight on it. You can easily buy picitinny rails for dovetail rail. I assume yours is a 11mm dovetail which is the most popular one.

    What dishes do you prepare with the rabbits?

    • @jimwood

      @@jimwood Thanks, just wondered; my old mam used to roast them( too dry), or make a broth with dumplings. As a former chef that did a lot of shooting in Gloucestershire, we would make a rabbit pie in cream sauce(delicious), or rabbit curry which is nice. Mate of mine once shot so many, he passed them off as chicken pies for his catering business, and no one ever sussed, I was in on it! Anyway, great shooting, thanks.

    • @jimwood
      @jimwood  ปีที่แล้ว

      @timothywilliams4089 Thats brilliant but how could you pass rabbit off as chicken? 🤣 Fair shout. I'm no chef but I will try a rabbit pie at some point. And as always thanks for watching 👍

    • @timothywilliams4089
      @timothywilliams4089 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jimwood Ha, it was easily passed off in a creamy garlicy sauce! If you poach the rabbit joints with some veg and herbs for about 40 mins, allow to cool then strip the meat, thicken the broth with either cornflour or flour and butter roux mix, wack in the chicken, cool, pastry of your choice top and bottom,....delicious. We shot in west Wales, the Gower coast and Prinknash abbey Glos(with special permission).Will continue to watch.

      @matejkraso ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jimwood That is fantastic. I have seen some test videos where IR was not impressive. And I was afraid that build in IR is not up to the task. I suppose those were 940 models and yours is 850.

    • @jimwood
      @jimwood  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to be honest I was really impressed with the built in ir. I could make out a rabbit at 200 yards but I think that would be its max but it does depend on weather conditions. Considering its compact size the ir is brilliant however I wish the scope had a side picitinny rail so you had the option to use an additional ir torch. I will be doing a review on the scope very soon so keep an eye out for that. 👍
