I have also noticed that heaviness really increases once you start praying the Auxilium Christonoroum prayers. Any ideas on how to ease this heaviness?

I would say that is par for the course when you tackle a change.
In my experience, take note of the changes, mention it on confession ( afterwards of course).
I got my priest to bless my residence, and some holy water and salt with a special blessing containing an exorcism.
In re binding prayers, the church doesn't advise us to speak to demons directly.
But instead I now pray "may the blood of Christ wash over me"... Which has helped me in so many ways.

They really attack you when you start doing prayers like that. Play the Gregorian chant while you’re praying. They can’t take it for very long.

Are you focusing on God and following the instructions how to live? Are you working on your faith and belief in the Power of God and that He can work in you and through you? Go within yourself and and seek the gifts and power God gave you. If your mind is not at peace then go follow the instructions of philippians 4:8-9. When you get attacked you have to speak the word of God and reject all that is come upon you. Do not come in agreement what the evil forces are saying. There is no condemnation when you put on the mind of Christ. I prophecied many years ago that the mind of man will be the last frontier to conquer by Satan. Tell that mind control its destiny is the lake of fire 🔥
