    Great tour, when we saw the house the second story was open. George had a school room up there where he taught older boys that were interested in college. Williamsburg is a great part of America's history - very educational.

    I live 28 miles from Williamsburg and have loved it since l was a child. In the early 80s l was walking past the Wythe House and someone inside was playing beautiful music on a piano.

    So is he who Wytheville is named after? As always, brilliantly made. These are too good for TH-cam. They should be on a travel channel.

      Actually it is named after him. There’s also a school and other places in VA that bear his name. Wythe Candy Store in Colonial Williamsburg too😎. Thank you Bob! Means a lot!

      Agreed, this is of the quality you would see on PBS as well. Well done. Are you two going to cover Christmastown this year?

    I enjoy your videos. I love Williamsburg a little too much. I pass out in certain buildings. The Kings Arms was the last. Americans know nothing of our own history. When we visited this house I had to answer all of the guides questions.

      Thank you Shirley! Glad you enjoy the videos and yes, our history should be a never ending learning experience that we continue to discover and aim to understand better. Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Thank you for your comment! 🎩-Scott

    Facade is not symmetrical. It was measured in detail. Facade 2nd story window on far right. Study the brickwork in comparison with other window placements, esp. window below it.

    Is it true he also owned a plantation in hampton which is now nasa/langley?

    • @QuestCapsule
      @QuestCapsule  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the plantation is called Chesterfield and he inherited after his older brother died. The property is now a part of Langley from what Ive read.

    As much as I love and support CW I care not for its (and every other tourist destination) devotion to the dark and demonic world politely packaged as ghost stories. Nonetheless, another great video. Thanks
