    I finally figured it out. Thank you. You have to put the needle in front of the yarn and wrap it towards yourself. Nobody ever explained that before! Thank you, thank you. I've been struggling with this for longer than I'd care to admit.

    I am crocheting a blanket with butterflies and need to do the feelers with a French knot and back stitches. Thank you for this video since I don’t embroider.

    Thank you. Thus is the first video that has taught me to NOT pit the knot through a hole.

    Thank you. I kind of liked it when you got things Tangled because that happens to me all the time. And some of these videos we watch for crocheting they're always just too perfect.

    As with so many other commenters, I came across your video because I was looking for ideas for the eyes of a doll. I can finally stop searching! You explained it perfectly and I feel totally confident trying it on my knitting now.
    Thanks!

    Thank you this explained why I had been doing wrong all those years ago!!
    Question, I am almost done with a baby blanket for a friend the crochet yarn weight is 3 so I want to make it cutsey... Add a girl touch to a blue blanket lol! Maybe some little flowers and then the french knot ;) any suggestions on type flower? I haven't embroidered in a very long time...
    The blanket is a new stitch (can't remember the name) but extended single crochet I think is it... Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks again 💜

    I was trying to figure out how to make french knots for amigurumi eyes (for tinier dolls/animals). You explained it nicely-- Thank you! :)
    p.s. That's nice that you learned techniques from your grandmother. Mine crocheted, but I wasn't into crochet when she was alive..unfortunately :( Anyways, cherish those memories with your gran ;)

      ***** Yeah I wanted to learn how to make the French Knot for the same as you and this is by far the simplest way! Now I can make this amigurumi dolls for my grandchildren without working about choking parts! thanks for this great tutorial and your grandmother's knowledge she passed to you!

  • @DalokiMauvais
    @DalokiMauvais 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks! I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, and this is very clear. But more than one of my projects calls for doing French knots on pieces crocheted in the round, like amigurumi before it is stuffed. Is there anything special that would help with this, where you really can't weave on the inside?

    • @jamieg1669
      @jamieg1669 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could you tie a knot in the working yarn before inserting it from the wrong side to the right side? That way it won't go anywhere during your french knot, and won't get pulled out later after the piece is stitched up.
