was curious of what a 3.3l was supposedly these little engines put down 290hp on a v6 platform pretty impressive the 351 small block v8 fords only make about 180-220
The 351W will outlast it by far. Still millions of them running in F150s. Don't see as many of them on the side of the road on fire as I do the new V6 models
our 3.3 at work started making this noise around 100k miles if it's worth anything to you. Still kickin ~1 year later at this point, not sure on the mileage now.
Sounds like a 3 valve 5.4. Remember those wonderful marvels of Ford Engineering!
Cam phaser tick, can tick away no worries. Its the Roller follower tick thats Deadly. Howevah both ticks sound exactly the same
Wow!😳 the 3.3L is my favorite
It's normal. Just like the 3.5 there is a HPFP on the 3.3 being that it's direct injected. The HPFPs sound like sewing machines. Perfectly normal.
Never clown. This dude lives in a homeless shelter believe him
Have you asked any forums about this? My 2012 5.0L has 230k miles and the only noise is the stretched timing chain clinking around.

101k miles on it now prolly
@@yamkaw346 probably 110-120
I have a 4.0 and mine sounds exactly the same I thought maybe it was an exhaust leak or something
How many miles?
I have a 18 with the 3.3 and i just hit 90k and it started ticking.
I have a 19 with 37k and it’s gone
Sounds like worn camshaft lobe
