Direct Injected engines have high pressure fuel pumps. The injectors popping off usually make this sound. My F150 3.7 and Tacoma 3.5 do the same at idle.

I had a Gottlieb Sure Shot in my collection for many years and was a great player with lots of action. It for sure wasn’t easy to get to the Special when Lit to score some replays, but when you did that’s when the fun began. Thanks for sharing your beautiful and great playing wedge head.

This was in the local Kings department store and it was actually one of me and my friends favorite pinball machines.

I have a 4.0 and mine sounds exactly the same I thought maybe it was an exhaust leak or something

our 3.3 at work started making this noise around 100k miles if it's worth anything to you. Still kickin ~1 year later at this point, not sure on the mileage now.

Sounds like a 3 valve 5.4. Remember those wonderful marvels of Ford Engineering!

was curious of what a 3.3l was supposedly these little engines put down 290hp on a v6 platform pretty impressive the 351 small block v8 fords only make about 180-220

It's normal. Just like the 3.5 there is a HPFP on the 3.3 being that it's direct injected. The HPFPs sound like sewing machines. Perfectly normal.

Slings are way too strong. Must kill people to try to keep these classic Gottliebs even close to original. SMDH

This pinball machine appeared on the commercial that was on the Cowboy Channel.

My buddy from high school, Mitch and I used to hitch hike from Belmont, CA to San Carlos on the El Camino to play this machine and a few others at San Carlos Billiards back in the early 70's. Man, I miss those days.

I like all pinball, but these older machines are great.

I can't recall ever playing this game, but it has some interesting angles and an unusual playfield. It would be more difficult than you think...

I ride my 2006 900 Classic almost every day, so I never have that problem. Save yourself a bunch of money guy's and ride your bikes far more often than twice a year!!!
