They're not crashing, they're correcting. Nothing just doubles or triples in price and stays there. Healthy growth is incremental. Every alt art is still 30% above its year low or more. Anyone whose "losing their investment" probably did an emotionally dumb move and bought at the top, therefore, needed the hard lesson. You never invest emotionally.
@newjones1754 I think anyone with the kind of disposable income that allows you buy cases and cases are the same kind of people that don't act on emotions.
Correct me if im wrong but this is normal in the summer isnt? I mean the market tend to fall around this period of the year, ppl Wonna have fast monney during the summer going on hollidays ect. ive been investing for 5 years and summers tends to dip? Or is it just me
@knutzzon150 Yup, people take profits in the summer and start buying again around the holidays. It's like that across the board of investing. The same thing has happened every year for at least the last four years, It's mind-blowing so many in the hobby haven't picked up on that yet.
i was suspicious of the timelines too. Too many cards started dipping the exact same time. So maybe there is some summer seasonality. Or people stopped pokemon investing and took their money to the booming stock market. We'll see if these buyers come back after summer. Unless this is falling knives, I think it might be a good time for some of these grail cards.
it gets even lower before christmas, jan and feb then picks up in the spring. bro 5 years is nothing after 10 years u start getting into 10k booster boxes. just keep it all and forget about it
The crazy spike was totaly over hyped! Realisticly all alt arts and desirable cards should naturally increase around 15%/20% as they hit the 2 year mark since release. Then there should be a slow gradual increases in value. Doubling in value over night is crazy, that wasnt going to last.
and then everything will be 200-300 dollars again in a year and everyone will wish they wouldn't have sold at a loss. Pokemon goes with interest. When everyone is buying and selling a card or box, it gets old. Then the demand drops for quite awhile until everyone is like "Remember that Greninja, it was so cool to have!!" and then interest grows again and less being printed (hopefully) means higher highs the next time. It's the same with actual art collections. Unless you're tapped into the competitive scene and buy and sell only competitive cards, you're just speculating based on artistic interests of the masses.
Really happy they are coming down. My goal this year is to complete SWSH AA and the whole TG. I stopped collecting when the prices got hyped, and I just need a few mid cards so glad they are normalizing.
Just bought a umbreon psa 10 full art vmax for 1k$ base set 2 charizard swirl at flame on mouth psa 9 for 750 and a gyarados skyridge double swirl for 850 the past day im extremely happy umbreaon was selling for 1500 today
As it should be. I like collecting and speculating as much as anyone but so much that's happened in the last year has been hype driven and sometimes artificial.
I sold a lot of my alt art cards into the hype and it’s certainly paying off now. These cards will be around for years to come in near mint condition there is no rush to pick these up. Vintage is super cheap right now - just sayin
Isn't ScVi is doing the same? Alot of SIR and IR is going up. Waiting for Leafeon and Glaceon vmax alt art to drop back down to $150-170 and umbreon v to $80 then I'll buy but we all know that's not gonna happen right? 😅
ah modern singles, its gonna be a huge downfall. those are more flooded than junk. imagine paying 1k for a card that will end up in the 6 digits population number
yeah they all watch youtube videos and dont actually know anything. imagine fomoing into a 1000 dollar box of evolving sky's when you could buy a shadowless Charizard.

Depends on what you buy. If you bought cases and cases of evo skies when they released out of emotions i would say you have done well.
@newjones1754 I think anyone with the kind of disposable income that allows you buy cases and cases are the same kind of people that don't act on emotions.
It's because it's summer
@kobebetty Goes hand in hand with a correction, which only happens when people start taking profits.
RUIIIIINED

You’re spot on. Best time to buy rn!

Spot on mate, it's all seasonal and dips when the majority of people want to liquidate to buy other things

What is the website you’re using in the video to compare market prices across TCGplayer and eBay?

@@chrisborges3549 I rip packs and buy slabs for fun ahahha I don't need investment or make money. That's why I have a good job that takes care of it 🦧
Happy to hear .. good sales are coming

What site are you using to check prices? Love the layout.
Am from the UK so am not sure, but is May/June tax filing season in the US and this may have an effect on these pricing?

The same thing will happen to this Greninja. It'll drop 50 - 75%
Can't wait...
I can't wait either and laugh

It might double again before it does. Never seen so much market manipulation on a modern card as this one.
Keep another 5 years...people sell so fast, that skint to need to sell this fast? Crazy
More for us too buy bro and stick in the cupboard for a few years 💯
Cost of living crisis mate. This is to be expected, especially with it being election year for the UK and US.
yeah these ppl are all new friends, you just buy every set and never sell anything unless you absolutely need to.
The shadow rider card is a strong performer.

That $355 was my purchase. Lol. The card looks perfect. Hoping for a 10.

Paid 150 for my mint Gengar vmax last week. So I'm good
THIS VIDEO IS NOTHING TO REPORT EXCEPT NOTHING..EXCEPT ALL TO GO UP FOR CARD PARTY 3😅
Sorry but Pokémon cards are not a quick flip investment. You have to wait 10-20 years for vintage value.
Muh Haunter 😈
