But a silent 1v1 match vs an unknown player using a known to be broken character at the time and repeatedly taunting you is the most enraging thing you’ll ever experience.

Why this is a bad thing? Taunting is also part of the game plan. If you opponent wants to bait you doing nothing, you can bait him instead. If your opponent is already baited and hyped and beating your ass = obviously you have no free window to taunt, but if you had you would definitely taunt more. Nothing serious, it's just part of the game.

Luis Ortiz This is common in other games , and specifically other fighting games. MK11 is notorious for this online. SFV is not as bad as MK but still has this kind of player. Some FPS games are like this too. Tekken is generally not like this, but it also isn’t usually as broken as it is now. Once they fix, this type of action will probably be less prominent.
They literally teach you how to bm with fatalities, it's not unexpected to run into toxic people there. But on the flipside they added the mercy function. Even if MK11 is more toxic for sure, that still leaves tekken at second place for toxicity.

Leroy is the most easy mode character in the game even when I went to practice mode with him I felt sick at how I barely had to do shit for massive damage

I like how people act like this kind of play style is new or related to Leroy's release. I'd put money on that same person having been doing that same stuff since they picked up the game. Like I said, Tekken as we knew it is dead. Now you can't even jab without being launched with all the crushing, evasion properties and power crush nonsense. In Leroy's case.. Forget learning how to punish, forget learning how to space, forget fundamentals- just buy a character that's pretty much perfect and clearly designed to win with as minimal effort as possible because online gaming in 2019. I like Leroy but I'll play him now for probably 3 matches per session, if that, unless it's a mirror match.
1. Since when was a jab not punishable? Jabs should always be punishable. 2. Fundamentally he is strong but he's not perfect. Like Heihachi, you're not gonna break his momentum by crying about it, you're going to tactically land your hits to open him and then use your momentum back. 3. If you like him play him more, no one's keeping track of what you play and no one really cares about your Tekken dignity. Adapt and overcome. He's nothing like Akuma at the end of the day.
You can actually jab through power crush with ease, and jabs are still crucial in a fight. Personally I never enjoyed Tekken as much as in T7, even though I'm complaining about Leroy. If people are happy, I'm cool

All of his excellent tools coupled with the laughably easy execution makes him imbalanced. You bring up Akuma, as if saying that name changes reality of Leroy being too good. No one seems to use Noctis anymore but that doesn't change him being scrub-friendly by design. No one's talking about "Tekken dignity" or some sort of online etiquette. I just don't care to use him too often because of how well he negates fundamental aspects of the game, and I'd like to keep my muscle memory that I've already established for him- that's all. If Harada has any functioning brain cells left, Leroy will be nerfed soon enough to be a reasonable character.

This is very common in other games, but not so much in Tekken. Not that it doesn't happen at all, but I actually don't enjoy seeing stuff like this in this game.

Luis Ortiz This is common in other games , and specifically other fighting games. MK11 is notorious for this online. SFV is not as bad as MK but still has this kind of player.
Some FPS games are like this too. Tekken is generally not like this, but it also isn’t usually as broken as it is now. Once they fix, this type of action will probably be less prominent.
They literally teach you how to bm with fatalities, it's not unexpected to run into toxic people there. But on the flipside they added the mercy function. Even if MK11 is more toxic for sure, that still leaves tekken at second place for toxicity.

I like how people act like this kind of play style is new or related to Leroy's release. I'd put money on that same person having been doing that same stuff since they picked up the game. Like I said, Tekken as we knew it is dead. Now you can't even jab without being launched with all the crushing, evasion properties and power crush nonsense.
In Leroy's case.. Forget learning how to punish, forget learning how to space, forget fundamentals- just buy a character that's pretty much perfect and clearly designed to win with as minimal effort as possible because online gaming in 2019.
I like Leroy but I'll play him now for probably 3 matches per session, if that, unless it's a mirror match.
1. Since when was a jab not punishable? Jabs should always be punishable.
2. Fundamentally he is strong but he's not perfect. Like Heihachi, you're not gonna break his momentum by crying about it, you're going to tactically land your hits to open him and then use your momentum back.
3. If you like him play him more, no one's keeping track of what you play and no one really cares about your Tekken dignity.
Adapt and overcome. He's nothing like Akuma at the end of the day.

I'm referring to jabs being used to establish frame advantage when it's now your turn to go on the offense. Now we regularly see people suffering a full combo + wall damage + oki if they're not already dead, for having a jab highcrushed or powercushed. No one is "punishing" a jab with a launcher, and I'm positive no one is thinking "hurr durr, I'll CH his jab for 70 damage"- the launch is just a byproduct of them trying to stay on the offensive now that they have that option. People know their launcher will probably hit clean and if it doesn't, the consequences are not that bad. Risk, reward, except way too much reward for the amount of risk. If you had frame advantage and someone tried mashing out a hopkick in T5, they'd be floated. This also happened most of the time in T6- now in T7 you just get launched due to animations that evade highs. This game just allows more yolo bullshit than ever- that's factual.
*In terms of everyone Leroy is sharing the roster with*, he is as close to a perfect character as we have. He's too strong fundamentally. It's not about "crying", it's about simply using your eyes and your brain. Who the hell is saying *any* character is "unbeatable"? People like you act as if pointing out a character is too good means they're impossible to beat- don't be stupid. All of his excellent tools coupled with the laughably easy execution makes him imbalanced. You bring up Akuma, as if saying that name changes reality of Leroy being too good. No one seems to use Noctis anymore but that doesn't change him being scrub-friendly by design.
No one's talking about "Tekken dignity" or some sort of online etiquette. I just don't care to use him too often because of how well he negates fundamental aspects of the game, and I'd like to keep my muscle memory that I've already established for him- that's all. If Harada has any functioning brain cells left, Leroy will be nerfed soon enough to be a reasonable character.
