On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉
    🏍️🏍️🏍️
Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

I have seen most of this videos no body is teaching how to stop and move in traffic... using 1st gear or 2nd gear for beginners

This is a lot easier said than done, especially with a bike that isn't as light as a dirt bike or doesn't have a super low center of gravity like a cruiser.

I commend your excellent advice. These are fundamental skills that I find very few riders are even aware of let alone proficient at performing. If every street rider would learn to ride dirt bikes before graduating to street bikes we'd see a marked decrease in rider deaths from a lack of bike control.

Incredible excercises! They helped me a lot to improve my confidence in traffic jam or rush hour. Thank you sir. Your tutorials are the best: well illustrated, precise, concise without too much blah blah blah. Thank you!!!

Excellent video and a very good reminder. It is easy to misjudge your skills no matter if you are beginner or experienced rider. I really recommend the stop box exercise. I started practicing it again with my new motorbike to understand its behaviour. Andrey what happened to your hair? Didnt recognize you in this vid. Bring back the curls!!! 😂👍👌

    Hiii Andrey....
    I'm from India
In india.... very few people teach how to properly ride a bike.We learn it by doing trial and error.
I've always wanted to ride bike with the right technique...
That's where you're youtube channel comes into the picture
Now I can ride my bike like Tom Cruise
    All thanks to you

02:30 Amazing skills, really!!! Thank you very much for all of this knowledge, and the practical application to back it up... I'm about to upgrade from a 250cc to a 1500 cruiser, Seems like practice is key. I will come back again to watch it more. Super helpful stuff...You make it look too easy... Almost even too easy... Seriously though, what kind of sorcery is that? Couldn't find it in the Necronomicon.

Can you describe the steps you take with the clutch, throttle & brake when you stop and go?
Do you keep some throttle at all times even when you stand still with the clutch & brake activated?

So for a full stop the first foot to go on the ground should be the left one?

Hi Andre, I have an GS 850 Adventure. I am struggling with slow motion driving; the drill where you drive 10 m within 15s. I would appriciate any recommendation about this. I love the bike but for my exam, it may not work if I have an unlucky mistake that day. Thanks a lot :)

  • @hrishi7819

Extremely helpful video. Thank you. I have a doubt, How to stop your bike in banked downhill roads? Let me give an example. In India you ride on the left. Say a downhill right turn comes, the road is raised up to the left, banking the road. Now if I put my foot down to the right side, it doesn't reach the ground until I lean the bike to such an extent the whole weight of the bike comes down on my right leg ( yeah I'm only 5'6) and have no choice than to drop the bike if it's an ADV class bike. Also there's a bus in front of me stopping and no choice to overtake since there's onward traffic as well. I have a pillion too making it difficult to shift the weight of the bike to the left side as I am in the curve. : )

Thank you for your lesson. I have a question: if I'm in higher gears and have to stop to avoid someone on the street and then go immediately without my feet on the ground, do I have to shift to first gear?

  • @sakygen

I’m trying to use my rear brake more than clutch so it activates the brake lights. Is that bad?

    • @hni7458
      @hni7458 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

No, it's not bad, Sakygen. The thing first here is to control the friction zone without rear brake. We have it as a test for getting the card here in my country at slow-speed maneuvering. But then, everybody knows that using a soft rear brake gives you balance. Andrey wants us to use both techniques.
