In the books when Jon refused his offer the respect Stannis had for Jon was increased tenfold because he knew none under his command would have refused the offer, Jon is like the ideal son Stannis would want to have
I really want to read the books but I know they will be amazing, and it will break my heart to wait possibly forever for a conclusion. I just can't put myself through that
I’m on book 2 so far, not so far in and tbh I love to finish a whole series of books if I read them. And I can wait forever for the last two books… these will have me hooked for awhile. I already wanna go and reread the first cause I feel like I may have missed some clues and stuff for my own theories of where GRRM could be going based on how he writes. I say it’s def worth it to read them.
In theory, you’d think it’ll work, but Jon and Val will never work together. He wants a Lady, he wants to be a lord and he wants a traditional wife and kids, Val will never be that woman for Jon, she doesn’t want that life. And his “fantasy” about being married to Val were more tied to him being Lord of Winterfell (which he’s always wanted as a child because he wanted to be true born) not for anything about Val herself. Not to mention his honor, love for the Starks, and insecurities were always going to stop him from taking that deal. Because as he said, Winterfell belongs to Sansa.
Val is scheming with Mance. She has feigned compliance to Stannis and somewhat led Jon on to gain a tactical advantage in the Free Folk’s struggle (against the Watch) for control of Castle Black and the Wall. Only after she had opportunity to speak with Mance (who is skilled at scaling walls, so could visit her whenever he so desired without anyone else’s knowledge) did she agree to venture North of the Wall and treat with Tormund “on Jon’s behalf”. Furthermore, Mance straight up told Jon that he was scheming (when they discussed him going to Winterfell to try and rescue “Arya”) and he missed it. This perhaps cost Jon his life.
Wait, didn't jon ask Val to treat with Tormund AFTER Mel sent Mance to Winterfell? And how could no one see some wildling climb the wall of the King's tower? And how does Val know about Rattleshirt being Mance? He would need to remove the glamour magic, and Mel is the only one to be able to do that no?
@@anormalperson7161 As Melisandre would say: “The night is Dark and full of terrors.” This terror was a skilled wildling climber shooting up a tower wall in light clothing (when most people were asleep). Also, he’s removed the ruby by the time he turns up at Winterfell. If they were feigning subservience to Stannis, Mance likely made out the hold Mel had over him was stronger than it actually was. Jon himself observes that the glamour is largely just Rattleshirt’s garb (which could be removed). Also, if Val doesn’t know that Mance is still alive (so hasn’t seen it with her own eyes), how does she convince Tormund to come to Castle Black? As far as Tormund should be concerned, they burned the last King beyond the Wall and he’s now top of their hit list. If there’s a scheme in play, he is far more likely to bring the Wildling host to Castle Black.
@Rob T Tormund saving his people from Others by treating with the lord commander of the night's watch isn't that far fetched, is it? Why must there be a deeper layer to every single decision made... But then again, 12 years of wait will do that to a fandom
@@anormalperson7161 Answer me this: Why does the word “Crow” appear in the “Bastard…” letter (and what is the significance of an exclusively Wildling word appearing in a letter purportedly written by Ramsey Snow) if Mance isn’t scheming?
Jon Snow and Dany are made for each other. Literally Ice and Fire. They should rule together, give us a happy ending ffs. Aegon IV Targaryen should be King, Tyrion hand of the king, and finally Dany his wife Queen. Rhaegal and Drogon both live, and Jon's and Dany's son gets a dragon egg and secures the next generation of the kingdom. The wheel stays broken, no more slaves, no more injustice. They would rule for the people and be the shield for the realm of men. That is the perfect ending for me.
Which it piss me right off that cut this storyline out, what did did that they join the characters of Mother Mole and Val Wild-ling Princess!!!!. to the Chief Woman in the series.
The entire reason that Jon refused all of Stannis' offers is painfully obvious if you bother to read. Stannis' condition for giving Jon all the things he wanted, was that when they recaptured Winterfell, Jon was to burn the weirwood tree in the Godswood, and cast aside the Old Gods, which were his gods, his father's gods, the gods of his dreams, and that, more than his vows to the Watch, were why he refused. He very much distrusted Melissandre, and so by extension he distrusted Stannis, especially since, again, Stannis was trying to forcefully convert him and make him burn a sacred weirwood tree.

I think Jon is attracted to her but I don't see anything else, knowing little about Val, it's difficult to see any depth in their relationship either. If I had seen a friendship in which they opened up more to each other and had a more mature bond, perhaps I would see it differently. But then I don't even see the point in putting her together with Jon. he has already been with a wildling girl and it has been seen that there are enormous cultural differences which then reflect on the couple. and Val is not shown to be that different from all the other wildling girls. at least she had been of the Thenn where they think a little differently or show Val as a different girl among the wildlings. What's the point of putting Jon with Val and then having him deal with the same issues he had with Ygritte? (and I'm not saying this because I don't see Jon and Daenerys together)
Val is not a princess but no one "believes" her because it's better for them if she is considered a princess. She is actually Mance Ryder's sister in law (sister of his deceased wife) and Val keeps telling everyone she is not a princess but they don't care
And he doesn’t want it. 😂. Stannis - please take everything take winterfell, take a hot beautiful chick, take all of my money. Hell take the bloody seven kingdoms. Jon - I don’t want it.😂😂

Not really, in terms of appearance she and Dany are very different. Val is described as having hair the colour of dark honey and eyes that at times look like either blue or pale grey.
@@henriquecesardesouzasilva8766 There are physical differences, I agree. But Val is written like Dany, is to be read like Dany. Val is always in white clothes which narratively serves the purpose of reminding us of Dany, who wears a white lion pelt often and has silver hair. Moreover both are sought after for political marriages and are remarked as beautiful because of it.
Actually there was this theory that the original nights king and azor ahai were the same people . ı read it years ago so I dont remember the details but it was something like this : The original (the one from the books) nights king was a lord commander of the watch. And he fell in love with the nights queen, a woman made of ice. And they were responsible for all the Others . He was "the bad guy" And according to other stories, azor ahai , the hero who saved the world had his wife, nissa nissa. He killed her in order to create light bringer. (He was the good guy) So according to this theory, these two different people actually are the same, but in the thousands of years his story has changed and told from the perspective from different people . Like Dany is the perfect queen and saviour for dothraki and unsullied but she is also the mad queen for the westerosi. İn thousand years these two stories can be aboıt 2 different people. So, george doesnt say that they are the same people. But he uses symbolisms all over the series to show that. He makes different people act /look like both of them. And these men that sybolises both the characters usually have 2 woman . A woman of ice and woman of fire. Aegon had his two sister -wifes. One of them created kingsguard, who is called "white shadows". The same term that is used for white walkers in the books. And the other woman represented fire but I dont remember how. Rheagar had elia and lyanna. Elia, whos symbol is the sun, and lyanna who is from winterfell. İce and fire. Stannis, who has his wife and mellisandre. His wife is usually described as an icy cold woman. And mel ofc represents fire. Jaime, who has brienne and cercei. Brienne is a blue eyed pale woman. Cercei is a lannister whos color is red. And finally jon, who had ygritte, who was kissed bu fire. And val, often described as white as snow, and icy. These characters can act heroic, but seem like monsters to other people. Or vice versa. I dont think my english was enough to be able to tell this theory but when I first heard it I loved it so much. I hope that was interesting. I know that the ice/fire paralles wasn't very clear but there were more of them I just don't remember 😅
Its just weird how even tho yes ppl hated the Wildlings but almost not as much as the show portrays. Like Stannis was willing to make a marriage pact between Jon and The King BTW's Sister in law as well as there being a marriage pact between the Thenns and Karstarks

Describes her incredible beauty.... Shows photo of joker without makeup.
😂😂😂😂
Man i would love that Jon having two of the best looking freefolk
Book Ygritte was average, show was better. Val I can agree
Jon - I don’t want it.😂😂
I volunteer as tribute!😂😂😂
Stannis “alright I will give you one of the most powerful castles in Westeros raise you to a lord paramount and a warden, I will also give a beautiful wildling wife so you can continue the Stark line, all you have to do is join me.”
Jon “I don’t want it.”
I cant believe they are doing this
This video reminded me I should probably reread book 5
Dumbness and smartness are two sides of the same coin. Everytime Jon Snow is reborn, the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land, either a dumb Jon (Dumb & Dumber version) or a smart badass Jon (hopefully book version).
what is the background song called
Never made any sense to me. As Lord of Winterfell, Jon would be able to settle the Wildlings in the Gift.
The snow show will never be made
Hopefully
That'd be great news
It’s in production
it was canceled. thank for God.
Jon: I dun wan her
JON : " I DON'T WANT IT" 😂❤
Jon X Val
Dany X Aegon/FAegon
I'm down with that

Why did they keep showing Crystal Gayle for Val?🤷🏼♂️ ( I call her that because right after she promised she would be right behind her kids at Hardhome I started singing🎵 Don't it make your brown eyes bloooooo🎶😯😆. 🤓😎✌🏻
I hope Jon and her get together in the book instead of him being with “muh kwein.”
whats the song in the backround
The actor of that woman in the show is also remarkable beautiful
Too bad we wont ever know since George will never finish the book
Val even kind of looks like Dany, I wonder if the two will ever meet in the books.
Actually there was this theory that the original nights king and azor ahai were the same people . ı read it years ago so I dont remember the details but it was something like this :
The original (the one from the books) nights king was a lord commander of the watch. And he fell in love with the nights queen, a woman made of ice. And they were responsible for all the Others . He was "the bad guy"
And according to other stories, azor ahai , the hero who saved the world had his wife, nissa nissa. He killed her in order to create light bringer. (He was the good guy)
So according to this theory, these two different people actually are the same, but in the thousands of years his story has changed and told from the perspective from different people .
Maybe we'll meet val in "Snow"
Stannis literally begging John at this point
He has to marry so his dragon bloodline can continue
THE WINTERFIRE (that's how I think Jon's new second name will be post-ressurrection as a way to accept and put together his Targaryen-Stark lineage in one) BLOODLINE MUST CONTINUE!!!
Bruh i forgot about this whole storyline in books.
I hope Jon ends up with Val by the end of the book. Their interactions are so fun in the books.
Most of us do
Yeah.
That’s one of the things I think the show did better than the books hardhome was amazing in the show
Also, I do like that the show brought him back to life. I think that was a good twist. I hope Martin takes the shows idea and puts it into the books too and revives him
So where does Ygritte come in all this?
Jon did not wanna break his oath
He also had to renounce his father's Gods and he couldn't do that.
Birgitte Hjort Sørensen👍
das sound machine!
Now I see D&D were right with Jon's "I dun want it"
Lol... you keep saying "Wideling."
I dont think the Wildlings would take that slight too well. 😂
Perfect casting because tht lady is beautiful
I thought Val said Jon could try to do the tradition only to cut off his manhood so he could 'better keep his oath'?
I always got the feeling they wanted winterfell more than they wanted val, because for some reason stannis has tied val to winterfell
He probably most likely end up with the night walker queen, thus history repeats itself

Is Ygritte a character from the books then?
Yes and her arc is exactly the as it is in the show
Marrying a side-side-side character? Never gonna get written. Jon's too important to marry an extra. Or George forgot about him already.
she is not an extra, read the damn books
@@nathanlima2595 you are right she is not an extra, she is a bit player whose only contribution is to make George R. R. Martin write even slower. I bet she will be forgotten until she is suddenly killed.

VAL ❤ JON FOREVER
Jon points out the wildlings dont follow anyone because of lineage so the princess bit isnt a thing 😅 but she is kickass and beautiful so yaknow
This poor man still thinks the last 2 books will come out.
I wanna watch a show with just jon and ghost out surviving in the wilds, maybe fighting off a few beasties, saving lives, but in the end finding a place to settle down. Give me my cheesy happy ending!!!😂
