After expoting and rendering my Book animation I noticed a distortion in my 3D book. I exported also a single frame as png and noticed that it looked different as if it was rendered from a different 3d angle. Just a moderate deviation from the original picture which I can see in the composition screen. Any advice what can be the reason for this?
In my case the product is useless if it is not exactly what I see in the composition screen. Any help would be appreciated!

    • @EpicMathTime
      @EpicMathTime 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Layer stacking will likely work. Just duplicate the book cover layer several times and change the z position a little each time (you can also script the z-position depending on index so you don't have to keep manually changing the position of the duplicates.) Then, pre-compose all of the layers, that pre-comp is the new cover. Animate that precomp for the rotation rather than any individual layers. You may need to toggle "collapse transformations", I haven't tested this, but I've done very many similar things.

Its probably the positioning of the text page. Try this:
Change 'active camera' to 'custom view 1'
Click the text page, then press P
There should be something like [number], [number], [number]
      Example: 540,540,10
Mess around with the 3rd number (in the example i gave, the 3rd number would be 10)
Play with the 3rd number until the text page is infont of the back cover
If you need more help or need visual representation, umm you can dm me on instagram?

Hayden Sorianto I solved this btw thanks! I was wondering if you also knew how to let some pages rest on the back cover? Because in this tutorial it isn’t shown 🥺

@@51sfumaturedifangirl32 ahh im not too sure tbh. I havent tried this tutorial yet, im just providing solutions from what i experienced. If you want it set exactly like how OP showed in the preview at 0:06, then im not completely sure. Since the back pages sort of move a little before settling down. But, here's what i would do.
Id bring another text page image into your video project and place it above your back cover layer.
Then i'd make it 3D like usual. If it happens to dissapear again, then i fix the positioning of the text page so it goes infront of the back cover.
Then id repeat this again. but for each extra text page you add, make the Y Rotation a little higher than the previous text page.
(For example, if you have added 3 extra text pages for the back cover and the absolute last text page has their Y rotation set at 4, then you make the 2nd to last text page Y rotation any number above 4)
Again, i have not tried this tutorial yet so i apologize if the outcome is not what you were looking for.
Quick tip: put motion blur on allll your moving layers! This will make the moving layers like the text pages or the front cover look smoother when opening the book

you should export mp4 files with Adobe Encoder, the size will be greatly reduced. There are many tutorials on how to do this on youtube
