@Honestly, I am someone with clinical depression and BPD too. Although I have been feeling better lately, let me tell you when I see how she enjoys the little things, like while giving interviews, seeing her enjoy her work and some of her Instagram posts, it really gives me hope. To see how someone can put a smile for everything despite of having two aneurysms undergoing major surgeries, hospital time, single (guess so, not married at least)at 32. It's not that she is NATURALLY funny, happy, charismatic and loved by everyone. She made her self that way, you can be too. And something I have learned in the past few year of extreme loneliness, depression and hopelessness is that we think too much. We think about our depression and why our life is bad. So I let it go, forgot everything and stopped thinking about it. I looked at the things around me, at it's colour and its shape and concentrated on what I was doing that moment. Even if it was just sitting on a couch. I felt being there just sitting and it was nice. I enjoyed this moment. I'm just saying give this minute, this second a chance. I hope you get better soon. Emilia is nothing short of an absolute god send. Much like D & D said she played Dany's character development from a scared child to a fierce warrior and going from that to show us a great balance of instesnity, warm compassion, and even child like innocence that is all pulled right from the pages of GRRM's original storyline. She did this all with absolute ease and the chacter fits her like a glove. I'm convinced and believe in all my heart that there is nobody that can play Dany but Emilia. To me she is every bit as inseparable as Christopher Reeve as Superman, or Arnold as the Terminator. She deserved this award and many more. VERY well deserved. I have watched every single movie that she has been in since Game of Thrones started. She is actually one of the main reasons that I watch GoT in the first place. Oh yeah, and that smile/laugh of hers is absolutely infectious. The kind of smile that can light up even the darkest rooms.
This award is SO well-deserved, Clark is an absolute chameleon. Her own fans reliably fail to recognize her on the street. Her real-life goofy smile and clowning are so radically different from the regal authority of her GOT character, that few other actors have even come close to that extreme transformation.
I saw her multiple times on the Graham Norton show and had no idea that she was *The Dragon Queen* because she was goofy as hell and so funny...she really disappears in to the role. The sign of a great actor.

It is quite aggravating that people say she can't act or that she isnt at the same level as Peter Dinklage or Lena. Has any of you any idea what script is? Actors dont decide what lines they will deliver they just do. Daenerys's total dialogue is not nearly as extensive as Cerceis or Tyrion's. Same with Jon! Dany and Jon have few lines and they have to be convinicng and they damn are. I saw some comparison between Dany and Theon, saying that Alfie is a better actor. He is great but you have to keep in mind that Dany has been in different hardships, she hasn't been on a torturing machine having her dick chopped off and humiliated, reduced to a mindless afraid dog. Emilia has nailed everything that she was required to.

I spent a couple of years studying abroad in America, specifically NY, and during that time I was on a finance competition where I had to give a long pitch to a bunch of older men. Americans are more open and welcoming which was something I liked during my time in America. Her own fans reliably fail to recognize her on the street. Her real-life goofy smile and clowning are so radically different from the regal authority of her GOT character, that few other actors have even come close to that extreme transformation.

I saw her multiple times on the Graham Norton show and had no idea that she was *The Dragon Queen* because she was goofy as hell and so funny...she really disappears in to the role. The sign of a great actor.

It is quite aggravating that people say she can't act or that she isnt at the same level as Peter Dinklage or Lena. Has any of you any idea what script is? Actors dont decide what lines they will deliver they just do. Daenerys's total dialogue is not nearly as extensive as Cerceis or Tyrion's. Same with Jon! Dany and Jon have few lines and they have to be convinicng and they damn are. I saw some comparison between Dany and Theon, saying that Alfie is a better actor. He is great but you have to keep in mind that Dany has been in different hardships, she hasn't been on a torturing machine having her dick chopped off and humiliated, reduced to a mindless afraid dog.

I spent a couple of years studying abroad in America, specifically NY, and during that time I was on a finance competition where I had to give a long pitch to a bunch of older men. The standing ovation definitely hyped me up and gave me more confidence. People back home wouldn’t do that because like I said in my previous comment, brits are too reserved. Americans are more open and welcoming which was something I liked during my time in America.
So many brits like myself always thought of Americans as shitty people because of the media, but that was certainly not the case with my experience. A lot of Americans are just like us. Normal folks, but Americans are a lot more energized and loud. Don’t always trust what the media shows you, bud.

Martin told them, a while back how he wanted Dany's story to end.......Man, this hurts, and will, for a long time......However, Emilia Clarke deserves every award she could possibly ever win. She is so expressive that you can SEE what her character is thinking. She plays emotion on so many levels that we have been rooting for her character all this time. She is phenomenal to watch. What an incredible talent. We will never forget her dragon queen, even if the last two episodes were not what we wanted or expected.
Do you know when it was that George R.R Martin told them what the ending would be? Just wondering how long they had to write her change of character into the show... maybe D&D would have preferd to end it that way, it's kind of what the show made us all want but we all knew that Game of thrones wouldn't have a happy ending. But in this article, Entertainment Weekly interviewed Emilia Clarke in depth about her thoughts about her turn in character, and how she was shocked, at first, but then had to somehow find a way to deal with it, so she could put it on film. Kit Harrington also talks about how he felt about Jon having to kill Dany. @@TheCorinne87.....Hi Corinne, I also, wanted to draw your attention to these 2 videos from The Dragon Demands (He obtained the original Writers Guild of America-WGA-script for ep. 5). The episode was changed drastically from the original (in the middle of filming Season 8), to make Dany into a villian: The burning of KL was supposed to happen as an ACCIDENTAL ignition of hidden wildfire caches. (He also found original concept art for the episode showing green wildfire EVERYWHERE). Daenerys was not meant to be the Mad Queen. These are priceless and HEALING!.....

Wow. Amazing speech and eloquence. I’m glad they really took the time and did their homework well with the casts and creating this overall timeless masterpiece called Game of Thrones.
The fact that this is so inspiring and she hadn't even come out about her brain aneurysms yet is just a huge testament to her character.
And on that note when she sort of stuttered over saying "the real life battles" in her speech I got a little emotional. I can't even imagine what that would have been like to go through on it's own, but the fact that it didn't affect her acting performance at all is astonishing
