River Herring: Migration, Monitoring, and Management

River herring will begin their migration around mid-to-late April! Learn about river herring on the Shawsheen and Merrimack Rivers. Jon Honea, a professor of ecology at Emerson College and a Conservation Commissioner for the Town of Andover, will be speaking about the ecological and historic importance of river herring, dam removal, fish monitoring, and how you can get involved in local fish community science.
