We don’t have much information available about tamarind online,especially on how to properly preserve and store it.Didnt know storing this in refrigerator retains the colour.Thank you for sharing this video...it’s very useful 👏🏼👏🏼

Yes dear. Thank You 🙏🙏. I have tried both keeping in fridge as well as outside. In fridge it retained its color as it is. But out side it turned black which is natural. Keeping in fridge is my sasuma’s idea. I forgot to mention her in video 🙏🙏

Our grandmother used to sundry them and applying salt used to store in clay pot ,which stayed well for atleast 1 year.

After cleaning, I add rock salt & store the tamarind in ceramic jars on the shelf.
My mil used to apply salt n dry in sun an store in a big plastic bottle at room temperature n it used to remain good even after more than a year. Need not keep in fridge where so much space is taken up.

With out fridge no solution to store tamarind for long time
No. Not like that. You can store it out side also. Not an issue. Only it turns black which is quite natural 🙏👍. But in fridge it retains the golden color 👍
