Awesome video Paul and Mrs C I admire you both for doing what you’re doing and showing us your adventures. Looking forward to seeing more and yes love your wheels 👍👍.
How do Paul. Loving the van. I particularly like the awning. I like you am a landscape photographer though torn knee ligaments prevent me from yomping like you do. I too have a van called and she is called Viv-i-van and had intended filling my channel with lots of stuff but the knee and having to completely redo my van after I found out the converter I paid a lot of money to was a cowboy builder, kind of stopped me getting out there. I'm deffo going to be taking the D850 out next year though . In the mean time, I've enjoyed your bimbles and now you have a great van, you can do even more but in comfort. One thing I'd get for the van though is a diesel heater and solar. I've fitted them on Viv-i-van and got a huge afiery power station so I can go totally off grid. Anyhoo, thanks for showing us round your van and if I can be cheeky, where can I buy a couple of the landscape vlogtography adventures stickers like you had on your tailgate. They'd look great on Viv. Much respect to you and Mrs C- Kenny
@@paulcomptonpdphotography literally about 15 miles from you Paul. I live in Bolton/Atherton. Hopefully one of these days we might be at the same place in our vans taking the same scenery in with out cameras. the D850 goes where ever I go.

Nice one, several of my mates have bought CVs of different types over the last few years and I have to say I'm very envious. My wife and I are looking to retire in 4 years and buy a nice 3 person van to travel far and wide. I like how your missus tidies up when you go inside :) Cheers.

Love your van. I have watched a few, including Sir Thomas of Heaton, and they are all so fabulous and well done, something I could never aspire to, but yours is so “ fit for purpose”. I wonder if your en suite doubles as the loo! Happy adventures, and I’m dead jealous of the freedom it gives
@@paulcomptonpdphotography I see Thomas Heaton be can stop by some camp grounds where he can get a Shower + plug in Electrical sockets beside where park the Van for the Night & maybe a washing machine for your be clothing this may have been in Scotland
Like it Paul ... and If there one thing that van has done for you its made you ditch that camel sized rucksack you used to carry on your back ... You seem to be standing straighter and moving faster without it .. 😜
in the end no mate, they were to heavy, looking for another alloy set still (CHEAP) lol the brackets i got from the same place as the awning, just a shame my fitter made a MESS of them when he cut the roof...lol
Love it Paul, very jealous. We’re looking are sorting something similar soon hopefully. Just an adventure vehicle nothing too fancy. What’s it like insurance wise? I read somewhere it can be difficult to transfer no claims onto van insurance.
Might sound like a daft question but here goes: I am looking at doing a very similar conversion to a transit custom and like you, want to fit an awning. What I don't get is that there is a big gap between the back of awning and the van. Surely when it rains the water just comes in that gap and would run down in front of the open door and you'd get wet? PS: Thats filmed at Hatchet pond right :)
it is and yes it does, you can not buy a peice to fit in the gap but i have made a strip that seals the gap all the way along, its perfect now, message me on Facebook ill send you a photo, i even have a couple extra strips if your interested haha
When you wind out the awning, are the left and right hand arms equal? What I mean is that my right hand arm has a lot more play than the left which results in the awning sloping to the right until the support legs are lowered.
Hi Paul I’m thinking about doing something similar to you!! I have a quick question.... Did you insulate your van? If not do you find leaving it has it came works and you stay warm?
when i did this it was as atandard, i have had a full convert now video is out next week.. i was warm enough, but my plan was to get it all lined inside if i was going to keep it like this layout... but went all the way in the end
Thanks for getting back. I can’t make my mind up whether to get a tourneo or just go crew cab 🤔 I do like the back door on the tourneo also all the windows it comes with!! Maybe your new video will help me decide 👍🏼
