- I wanted to bring you along as I build the HFA Dahlia. The Build Series will follow my build process, design decisions and just random thoughts as I work in my garage to deliver the best headphone I possibly can to a passionate community of music lovers and friends.

Great stuff. Love to see the build process 😊 Can’t wait for mine to come in.
@@alxdna so excited for you to get your Dahlia!
I was expecting my Dahlia to come in some time next week, but I think that they will be here today! Super excited to listen to them at home. Thank you for starting this build series. It's nice to know how things are made.
So glad they're arriving soon! Can't wait to hear what you think. More videos coming soon!
Love this video! Headphones look awesome, hope to hear them.
Thanks so much! I'm sorry I missed you at Socal Canjam this year but lets hang soon. I chatted with Andrew about you and can't wait to hear your phones as well!
Love to see behind the scenes build stuff like this and the attention to detail is impressive. Can't wait for mine to arrive next week!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I can't wait for you to get your fresh new Dahlia's! Your support is huge, especially considering you purchased them without hearing them first. I take that support very seriously, and want your first impressions of them to be a "wow" moment. Everything is going to feel a bit stiff at first (new leather pads and headband, tight yoke rods, new steel headband, etc), but after a few weeks I promise they'll feel more comfortable than your favorite hoodie. And the sound will soften up and warm a bit as well.
Hey man, great video series. Thinking about ordering a pair of these.
Have you run any harmonic distortion measurements on them? I'm just wondering how much bass boost they can handle if I wanted it to be a few db higher than harman.
Hey! I don't have the right equipment to get an accurate THD, but I have someone lined up to run those tests, along with a full suite of very technical tests. I should have those available in about a month or so. They can definitely handle a bass boost, probably +5 dB or more. For fun, I made a 75 ohm impedance adapter and it gave a +10 dB bass boost deep into the sub bass and there wasn't much break-up at reasonable listening levels (70 dB).
@HIFIFORALL Nice - thanks for the response. I ordered a pair earlier. Black with the fancy copper cable. Looking forward to hearing them.
@@guitarapprentice1094 thanks so much for ordering the Dahlia! I'm sure you're going to love it!
