I had a manager write me up for not coming in on an optional day when the plant was shut down. (We had the option of working or taking the day off with or without pay.) I had the day off, but she only wrote it down on one of her calendars. She was pissed I wouldn't come in because she had loaned me out to another department that was still working that day. (Without telling me.)
I had this happen to me once. They needed people to come in for drug tests and they didn't have enough, so they thought they could pull me in. Lol funny thing, I was in Florida too at the time. Told them to F off and that they owed me an hr of pay for bothering me on my vacation.
Had this happen to me to.
I asked her is she would reimburse me for the cost of the trip, she told me I'd get paid for the shift.
So she figured me cancelling my romantic vacation with my bf, that i never saw because I kept picking up shifts, to save her ass and _almost_ break even was a fair trade.
