Thank you very much for this tutorial, it's so instructional and well paced for you to understand clearly what is happening. I learned a lot about layers now thanks to you, and the morph tool. Thanks again.
Ah… Nice Work ✏️ Learnt a few new tricks ✅ My Tip for you is when moving elements away from the main Model temporarily to work on, move them an exact dimension, which means when moving them back you simply start to drag and type in the same dimension. I use nice round figures like 300, 900, 3000, 9000 etc. This way you even keep the keyboard number down to the minimum number that works. SO, when you are moving the Shell Roof to the top of the screen, you would start the Drag, type in say 9000 and hit Enter. Do the work on it, then commence the Drag back to its original position and type in 9000 again and it goes back to the exact position. And its ergonomic… your thumb is over the Zero and middle finger can tap on the 9, 6 or 3 quickly. This saves having to Zoom in and click on a point each time you move an element back. It also helps preventing the issue when elements are ever so slightly off a single 1mm or such like, and then you discover this small but annoying issue always after a lot of work 🙄 Anyway, hope that helps ✅ Cheers, Laurence 😃
Thanks Laurence for feedback and idea. Every so often I do this but it's not in my DNA yet ! I am so used to not doing it but it's a great idea and makes it much easier for sure, especially with the accuracy. I will try to remember to implement this. Cheers Carsten
At 18:22 a tool is activated by clicking on the node. Those tools are not showing when I attempt the same sequence. Only drag, rotate, mirror, elevate. Therefore unable to reduce size.
at 18:22 make sure you click on the corner with the construction line, should be the one which is thicker then the others, then you get all the tool options, otherwise just the one you mentioned.
28:16 I was unable to multiply walls to follow the ellipse path, instead the wall is duplicating the shape of the ellipse creating an ellipse shaped wall. Tried for 45 minutes and I also watched other video on multiply. Again with Archicad time is being used up just to problem solve in Archicad, instead of doing.
make sure when you multiply as I have shown, to click rotate to path option in the multiply window and of course the tick, pick path before input. This option came with later Archicad versions. Not sure but around Archicad 20.
All objects I create are coming in as 16'-8" . I'm unable to change the size unless I change structure, composite settings. Any suggestions are appreciated?
Hey again , I really wondering how can do as like a Rabat Theater center shape by Zaha Hadid , by profile manager or with shell tool , would be great mention zaha hadid's line .. I'm sure manny architecture students will enjoy it =) thanks again..
Yes I have come across his shape, looks just amazing. It's really hard to do in ARCHICAD if not impossible. This type of organic shape you most likely need to model in like Rhino, it is more specialised for these type of forms.
@@ASMTechbase thanks for your respond , yes rhino is so good , but still archicad has a nice layout for section and plan stuff for representing , for my idea , at least I thought to make it with line union then command for curve surface but connection is so hard , or do with profile manager , still not enough =) ... thanks once =)

Awesome tutorial. Thank you!! pls how did you get the multiply menu around 19:10. Ive got AC 23
Thanks! On a PC it is ctrl + u or just use the menu - edit - move - multiply. For the window to come up you need to have something selected first.
@@ASMTechbase Thanks you 🙌🏻

@@Brkdmrcn57 Yes you can't beat ARCHICAD as a whole package, it's an amazing Software.
Thanks :)
