Great interview, Joe! I always enjoy watching Dave's videos and his laid-back style really works for him. Was able to enjoy this in the AM with a cup of coffee. I run both mag and non-mag, as Dave mentioned, if you run non-mag you're gonna spend more $ on parts when tuning, since you create a new set of challenges for yourself. A lot of it also depends on your track. The "fun" factor is all subjective; different people enjoy the hobby in different ways. Thanks for posting!
Thanks a ton Mark. At this point in the game I'm still testing the waters as to what I like vs what more I could be getting as "entertainment" out of the track and cars. It's all part of the fun. :)
Loved this session. Can't believe the low number of views (so far ) ,you deserve way more interest in these posts .Im sure as your channel gets bigger, people will go back and watch this treasure trove of interviews 👍 loved the quick fire questions at the end .Dave is an awesome bloke, and I really enjoyed this insight 🤗 Super stuff 🙂Keep em coming mate 👍.. Harry
Thanks for the kind words Harry. I'm really glad you liked it. Dave was a pleasure to chat with and is really a stand up guy. Makes it easy for me. I'm not in it for the subs. If even one person got enjoyment or info out of my videos then I'm happy. Thanks again mate :)
Good interview Joe, always nice to see how your guest(Dave) or whoever responds to your questions. Learn something new every video. 👍 You should get an Evolution set off marketplace so you can swap out a few pieces and try analog. It’s what I do. Takes about 15 minutes for the change as long as your set isn’t fastened down.
Great conversation. I am just getting into 1:32 with a Carrera track. I used to have some 1:32 but mostly HO scale back in the 60’s and 70’s. I probably went overboard buying cars. NSR, Slotit, SCX, and Carrera cars. I have been watching a lot of videos to come up with the layout I want to use. That has morphed into a whole new project when I started researching the way actual racing lines relate to an actual race track layout. There will be a lot of modified track pieces. lol
Well I started buying the line up for the 1970-1971 LeMans. I have 3 Carrera 917Ks, 2 NSR 917Ks, 2 Slotit Ferrari 512s, 2 Fly Ferrari 512 S. That’s just that category. I am working on a GT group also. I won’t convert all to digital. I have a few wood tracks I can go to within a couple of hours travel. I am in Eastern WA.

Thanks for the invite. I will shortly. One thing I liked about Dave’s comments. Advanced cars require a different approach. The track will determine the setup. The options are many. A very big difference between Carrera, Slotit and NSR to name a few. Slotit and NSR have more canned options. I probably spent the cost of 2 more cars just building up a parts inventory. Anyway I have been looking for a group of like be minded individuals to share the journey.
Great video and chat guys, the only question I got wrong of Dave's was the revoslot or shed!!! I'd have bet my left kidney he would have said free revos for life 🤣🤣
I got blindsided by that question HAHA but ultimately a bigger shed means more track which means more fun with all the cars I've already got and any more I would then buy :)
This is awesome guys. Thank you Joe and Dave

Thanks ! Good to see it🏁
Dave is one of the least confrontational advocates for magless racing. He has me convinced to give it a try!
Thanks brother
awesome interview legend
Thanks Travis!
Good chat, wr enjoyed it! My only shock was Dave going for the bigger shed. I'd have put my entire Revoslot collection on the other answer 😂
Thanks guys. I don't think i gave him enough time to think about it 😁 it was a flash round after all. Lol

@IrrerasCarrera I'm the same ...I know ile never make anything from youtube or have thousands of subs but I just love the social aspect of it 🤗

Thanks for the tip Ron. I'll have to try that. Your comments are appreciated as always. I hope your track is coming along.

Thanks man, there's no such thing as spending too much on slot cars lol.

It was a hard one, even for me lolll
Thanks for watching
Great stuff!
Thank you!
Nice job Joe.
Thanks so much.
SmartRace has motor sounds.
Yeah but they're crap, if I was a kid I'd want the sound coming out of the car as it went past me
I'm the same Dave, if I can't drive it, I'm not buying it as a slot car.
