I get constipated all the time (since a child). I'm going to get Doculace or whatever. My insurance doesn't cover it, but it's only $3 something for a pack of 30, so that's good. I also like Kroger Chocolate laxative ($2 for a pack of 24). Sometimes it's cheaper to buy stuff from the pharmacy over the counter, rather than at the store.
I feel your pain! Constipated my whole life. All those laxatives are harmful to the body in so many ways (I used to take them too!). After going through a bunch of health issues, my Naturopathic Doctor said to take magnesium (this kind especially below is fantastic) as it makes you GO, but has added benefits to the body. It helps muscles (headache, muscle pain/cramps and more) as our diets and foods are MAJORLY deficient in much needed magnesium, which is essential for body functions. Did I mention it really makes ‘going’ soooo easy? I take a teaspoon every night in warm water or tea. The bottle lasts about 3 months. I just can’t help but tell everyone about it, it’s THAT GOOD!!!
