I was sitting in a Perkins eating pancakes and studying Latin the day he died, Perkins still had a smoking section then. Never been back to a Perkins since. I imagine he's lighting up the exterior afterlife now with his truth. Not no pussy heaven nor hell neither, he's made his own afterlife where he's got a farm because Ohio. On Lux's farm he has steaks from his cows every night and when you milk the cows it's scotch, and the chickens lay giant tabs of acid. An hour or two after dinner every night he rocks out in the barn for anyone who also winds up in his afterlife then after the show they all have rough sex as aftercare for the concert.
From the moment I held their 3-D album in my hands in like 1981, I knew that the Cramps were just what I needed! I used to buy these weird monster sounds/dance records when I was a kid in the '60s, read horror comics and watched monster movies, and loved it when a band went crazy while winking at the audience, just to make sure everyone was in on the joke. And a serious gag it was, all the way to the heart of chicken-fried American trash, where the diamonds are pressed. Go, man, go.
Lux was probably the most lucky man in the world, able to do exactly what he wanted to do with a beautiful soulmate who was happy to be his partner in crime, he really did have it all.
Songs The Lord Taught Us, Bad Music For Bad People, Gravest Hits…so many great albums and such a staple of any underground music lover. Miss the Cramps a lot.
Bad Music for Bad People!! Whooohooo....I can't get enough. Wished I'd seen em live...that's one of my regrets, not getting into them back in the 80's. I love having them play while I am playing video games chilling on the couch. Forever...need it.
Breaks my heart to see poison realize she's loosing her man ,she's so focused on style of guitar and he's still living to extreme.rock in peace lux baby but your a long time dead and poison ivy can keep your spirit alive with rockabilly tribute album and concert touring the world ❤️❤️
If not the antidote, they certainly are more than just a salve, for these times and a 'certain' someone we all know who is is in way over his head. More of this please!
Funny thing I just noticed so clearly is how much they sound so close to Jerry Lee Lewis. I can't believe no one has mentioned this before. Yes it's a Punky version of him but holy cow when you really get into it it's very obvious. I can't be the only one...
does anyone know what brand the bass is this bass player is playen' ... simple but it does the trick.... love the Cramps ... this is what rock and roll should be today.... .... ...
This is such an astrologers song. I am one and I'm like hey this makes perfect sense actually. Even made my astrologer 17 yr old son listen and we analyzed it from an astrological perspective cause we're nerds 🤓

He'd be great to play the Joker.
When I look at him sometimes I see Dracula, sometimes Jerry Lee Lewis. Dracula Lee Lewis! (it's the la, lee , loo sound)
The dentist from little shop of horrors seems to be inspired on him
Play? He IS the Joker.
Oh my! YES - Leo!!I fucking ADORE that gal....... Mistress Bex 💋
When your lead singer looks and sounds like a long time supervillain...
