Chop saw \ Miter saw machine from a circular saw

I saw on one of the channels a structure that quite simply expands the functionality of a hand-held circular saw. It is enough to add a couple of pieces of wood, a door hinge and a piece of spring and we get a mini cut-off saw, or miter saw.
Of course, for the best cutting result, it would be good to use a more serious hinge instead of a door hinge. It will not be superfluous to increase the base area by 1.5-2 times since with a size of 20 * 20cm, there is little stability.
Of the minuses, I can note that it is inconvenient to hold the cut material, and besides, the circular saw motor falls on the hand. Therefore, it would be good to work with a holding device.

I made one just like this but added 45 degree fences so I could make miter cuts with it.

I like it, only thing that def should have been considered for the end result was making the platform longer for better support while cutting.

I would suggest to make a 45 deg jig that will serve as guide for the wood to be cut.

Only way I can see that being an option with this type of modification is to make it a sliding miter saw. Im sure its been done, probably very simple.
