You know when the BMW Tech says “sounds good”, you got a winner…lol Would like to see if Switchpath neutralizes the droan . Good video. Considering for my car.
💯 agree, Sean has installed dozens of exhausts and hearing that from him was awesome. Switch path video will be coming up soon. So far I can say it addresses the drone 😃🙌
For an aftermarket exhaust without a muffler, it actually doesn't sound that loud. A lot of cars without mufflers are really loud. I think with the switch path muffler, it will be quite tame. For a "track" edition, it doesn't live up to its name in my opinion. It's fine and plenty loud enough for daily use. But I wouldn't consider it ridiculously loud like a true track exhaust.
Was wondering if most of your review was in comfort mode or in M/sport/sport+? I know they inject some audio into the cabin when in sport/sport+ I know you mentioned it a feel times, just couldn't tell. I love the throttle response and I like driving constantly in sport+, but is it too loud with the track/switch when in sport+? Thanks.
I was running mostly in sport+ I have the next video that will go over the different modes. Even in sport+ the exhaust is not obnoxiously loud. It’s very livable. You can turn off M Sound to kill the burbles. I think the track edition exhaust system is very livable mad a daily.
@@thedevthingthanks for responding! Looking forward between the track vs switch I’ll probably pick based off the videos for my m2. Would love an eventual comparison for cold start comfort vs sport + with every setup! Keep up the great content!
Hey Prabhul. I have a deposit on a 2025 G87 (thinking of also getting Zandvoort blue) and I'm eyeing the AWE exhaust. Does both the switchpath and track edition have valves? I want to avoid drone so do you think I should just get the switchpath? Thanks.
Congrats on your purchase 😃 Track edition does not have valves. I would recommend the Switchpath. I have it installed now and the drone is eliminated and it still sounds amazing 😃
I wanted to keep the cats and not cause any warranty issues. Also I hear that most of the good sound comes from the midpipe and the rest of the cat back system is a bonus. Originally I was just going to do the midpipe and call it a day. However since AWE reached out, I am glad I did the cat back system. A downpipe would be a bit overkill for my usecase.
Doesn’t replacing the rest of the stock exhaust cause a warranty issue in and of itself? Understand that the cats are still there, but the resonators are gone as is the muffler.
@thedevthing I heard that there are catted downpipes options which don't remove your cats when you install them and also that th best exhaust sounds on the new bmws you can obtain doing only a catted downpipe and midpipe and keeping the back of the exhaust stock, that's why my first question about the downpipes :) also as a bonus, dowpipes also give a slight hp increase as far as I know!
@sydsM3 I mean the cuts are happening where the m-performance exhaust would get installed I believe. I there were issues I would put the stock exhaust back on. It would just the exhaust warranty that’s impacted. Anything with downpipe and cats have an impact on the engine as it would throw error codes etc and that starts to impact the code parts of the car. I didn’t want to risk it, if I had to pay out of pocket for exhaust work, I am ok with that. Anything with the engine, that’s likely going to be big bucks😅😃🙌
@@dj1nniequick question I’m about to try and get catted downpipes and mid pipe. Keep the rest back stock. On a new m3comp. Kind of hard to figure this all out. What are your thoughts on doing this.
Sorry for the delay. they are 4.5" wide tips. There is still room to install even bigger tips. awe-tuning.com/collections/bmw/products/awe-exhaust-suite-for-g87-bmw-m2?variant=40202264150080
Always heard good things about AWE. Sounds great!!
Agree with that. I have known them from the Audi world and it’s great to see them push in the BMW market 😃🙌
Have them on my A4 and love them!
🙌😃
Nice deep sound, that has good tone range as you accelerate with minimal rasp - look forward to hearing switch path
💯😃🙌 editing those videos soon
Thank you for watching 😃
Great car, man. I love the colour, the wheels and the stance. And now it sounds nice too 😃👍
Thank you, I appreciate that. 🙏🙌😃
Thank you for watching and the support
Wow, that sounds awesome! Love the tips too! That’s how I would roll. 🔥😎👍🏼

@@thedevthing Looking forward to the video.
I have the AWE track edition on my 2017 BMW M3 and it is lighter and louder but I love it!
Nice one 🙌😃
🙌😃
Need to hear this in person
💯🙌😃
Would love to hear the sound of the muffler when installed. AWE Sounds awesome 👏
Stay tuned, one more video with the track edition and then the Switchpath video
stick with the track edition... life is to short to let it pass quietly
Some things might have happened already 😅😂

💯😃🙌 it’s a great value system 😃
Nice 3 cars setup. How does g87's role look like with that setup?
The G87 is my daily now. I don’t drive it much. But to get my kid from school and go do groceries it’s great 😃🙌
I wish they would have made the tips a little smaller. They just look too big for the car.
I think it works great. Love the look 😃
Nah! The tips are perfect size!

Hey man, you can’t be that much of a stud and also own a sick M2 and a GT3RS… you’re not playing fair. Lmao
😂😂 appreciate the kind words 😃🙌
How did you convince the BMW dealership to install aftermarket exhaust on your G87?
I didn’t ask questions 🤷
Crazy. I doubt they would do that type of install in SoCal
@thedevthing, why didn't you opt for a downpipe as well ?
I wanted to keep the cats and not cause any warranty issues.
