Forgive me please for repeating my tip, but I cannot help mentioning that a food processor would have julienned or grated all the orange rinds in two batches about three minutes each.
Totally agree with what you say about Harry and Megan. I find it’s all very distasteful and sad and I think they will regret all of this in the future. Loving the new room and sofa very tasteful and I do love the colour. X
I am quite partial to the color of your sofa. I would call it teal and have two rooms painted that color. I find it is a welcome color year round. The room looks very nice indeed.
The pink blouse is not of my choice but everything else is really lovely and you have such a talent for style and home decor. Such warmth, kindness and realness. I enjoy watching your vlogs and in fact often have them playing whilst I do my own home chores that are no where near to your excellent standard but you lift me and it helps to keep me focused and I just enjoy listening to you.
Hi Charlie, we used to have that exact same sofa. We actually bought the pure white covers from IKEA and used a Dylon dye to dye it in the washing machine. (Think we went for bright orange which was great fun and as covers were easily changed, we were able to go a bit wild!). Anyway thoroughly recommend doing that if you are looking for a different shade of green that IKEA doesn’t do. Xx
I really think that a lot of the whole Harry dramas are due to his beloved mother and how she was treated by his father and the royal family. He knew how she felt about Camilla, calling her the Rottweiler and three in the marriage all well documented! He knows that if it hadn’t been for his father and Camilla, the tragic set of events that led to her death wouldn’t have happened! He has an almost non existent relationship with his father, why? Because of all of this. This whole leaving the royal family and moving to America, which Diana also wanted to do herself, is to do with his resentment and bitterness and anger with what happened to Diana and it’s payback time! William probably feels exactly the same, the difference being however that as a future King he needs to keep his emotions on this subject well and truly to himself, because its all about preserving the monarchy, that’s even more important than his beloved mother, its his future and so he needs to toe the line at all costs!
So enjoyed this vlog, and thank you for sharing the new blankets, I'm quite keen on getting some. The room looks cosy with the new addition of decorative accents.
How do you do it Charlie, another great vlog…I’m spreading the word about Bluetooth headphones too! I noticed that people recording vlogs seemed to be going back to ‘wired’ EarPods, I googled and found that, with Bluetooth and AirPods the signal goes to one, which then boosts it through your head straight to the other! (I know we are surrounded by rays but if we can limit, we should.) Have put my Bluetooth headset away and bought a set of old-school, wired EarPods with lightning connection direct from apple, less than £20 and came by Royal Mail within 24 hours on the free postage! Love the sofa, and the first two tops and, lastly, bands for tying up, bands for on top of your 😉😘

Charlie don't shoot the messenger, but my Mum said the green doesn't sing. That the green jumper you were wearing while assembling the sofa was a better green with the pinks. Or beige like you said would be good. You could do the green you have with red cushions at Christmas, then switch. If you love it then it doesn't matter, it's your home ❤❤

I agree sofas are so expensive but your IKEA one looks really good. Our experience of IKEA furniture is amazing* value and wear incredibly well. I know what you mean about trying to season your room by just adding a few accessories can change its overall feel and think you should be able to do this easier in the future. I think it is a shame all the information now in the public domain especially when we have just lost our beloved Queen, although clearly Harry is hurting and has done for sometime. The room looks lovely now. I think that sometimes 'designers' overthink rooms and they end up not looking like home. Your room is home. I would reupholster the little chair in a really deep pink/strawberry velvet, just so it would really be a stand alone piece. 🍓Reference the smocks, send the peachy one back as it is a bit too 'Pierrot the clown' looking, the other two are perfect. Remember a bargain is only a bargain if you really want it. ❤

Hi Charlie, a definite no on the last smock. It’s too fussy and the volume on the bodice swamps you. The garden room looks good but I wondered how you will protect the furniture pieces from sunlight? I would like to have a chair for reading in my study but it’s south facing and I don’t know how I can protect it. Heath to you all to enjoy the new sofa xx

We spent £2000 on 2x 3 seater leather sofas in 2005 when we got married. They still look great now! Theyre easy to wipe clean, we have a daughter and 4 dogs, and i think theyre going to last the rest of our lives!

As for Harry - losing his mother in such tragic circumstances and then being displayed to the world while he grieved is enough to mess anyone up, let alone a child. I have no interest in taking sides but I do sympathise with him for that.
