    About this video
    =============================
    Please enjoy this time lapse footage of a Cinema we built in East Sussex in 2020. The room is a dual-purpose space with a Snooker Area that presents itself as soon as you enter. The Snooker area features a full-size snooker table surrounded by custom wood panelling, Oak flooring and Bar Stool seating. Moving past the Snooker area you come into the cosier side of the room. The flooring changes from the hard reflective oak to a soft deep pile carpet. The walls are wrapped in a blue acoustic fabric; this dampens the reflection off the walls and creates a division between the snooker area and the wooden panelling. A luxurious u-shaped sofa welcomes you as you sit to watch the latest movies delivered directly to the 140” Cinema Scope projector screen which is mounted on a purpose-built screen wall. Behind the screen lives the front channels of the 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos system installed in the room.
    Equipment list:
    3 x Artcoustic Spitfire 12-6 (Front Channels)
    2 x Artcoustic Control3 Subwoofers
    4 x Artcoustic SL 4-2 RAL Colour Matched (Side and Surround Channels)
    4 x Artcoustic SL Architect 4-2 In-Ceiling (Atmos Height)
    Epson TW9400 Projector
    Denon ACV-X8500 Amplifier
    Artcoustic Subwoofer Amplifier
    Kaleidescape Strato S
    Sony Blu-Ray
    Apple TV
    Control4 Neeo Remote
    Control4 EA-1 Processor

    I think this may have been the best build I've seen on TH-cam yet. I wish I could afford it. Good Job!

    I haven't commented about a lot of things on TH-cam lately but I am breaking silence here to say, "Excellent Freakin Job!" This dude did a beautiful "BEAUTIFUL!" Job. "And", he did it right by encasing the speakers behind decor "black" material. I'm an advocate of "speakers should be heard, not seen" for theater environments.
    But we'll ✔done 👍

    Awesome build guys. It takes a lot of time and skill to build a great looking and functional room.
    This year we will be building our own demo room with a 9.4.4 Artcoustic setup using 6 x spitfire A6's for LCR's, 2 x control 1's, 6 x SL targets and 4 x 2.1 architect in ceilings. Rear subwoofers will be velodyne spl1200's.
    Love you videos keep up the great work

    Great install, but I would like the finished room all black,including the seating.

      As the room was dual purpose the client was keen to keep the colour of the Snooker Room walls into the Cinema area, but loose the hard surfaces. For the client the main area is the Snooker Room as he has wanted one since he was a kid. The Cinema section very much plays second fiddle.

    Mega impressive to say the least! Congrats.
    How did you find the reflection off the white ceiling impacting or washing out the image on the screen?

    • @ImmersiveCinemaRooms
      @ImmersiveCinemaRooms  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank You 👍🏻 A darker ceiling would work better using a fabric wrapped or paint, but the client didn't want that as it would ruin the look of the room. However that being the case, using a lighter colour does not detract from the experience the system give you.

    Shit looks fantastic! Any soundproofing insulation in the walls? I've seen people use it but didn't know if it was always needed.

    • @ImmersiveCinemaRooms
      @ImmersiveCinemaRooms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you :0) In this project no, the room is in a concrete basement built out the back of the clients house. However if the room can accommodate it then defiantly. I'm hoping to put up a video shortly of our Demo Room build and you'll see in there we did lots of soundproofing. If the wall are stud work then you can use acoustic material like Rockwall and Acoustiblok.

    Room looks great, but Epson projectors are garbage now. Would recommend a JVC or Sony. Bought an Epson projector (5040UB) in March 2018, exactly 3 years later I’m on my 5th Epson projector (under warranty). I was upgraded to a 5050UB due to all the failures from the 5040UB. I’m sure this 5th one will die out on me in a few month. Will buy a JVC then. The older Epson used to be reliable. Not these eshift 4K BS.

    • @ImmersiveCinemaRooms
      @ImmersiveCinemaRooms  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your projectors. For the money (in the UK) we get great results using Epson for non-native 4K set ups. We have 10+ 9400's in customers houses and have not had a single issue with them. I agree with moving up to a Sony or JVC for native 4K, however for the money Epson is still a great choice for us and gets great reviews which the clients love. Hope you mange to sort your issues out.

      @@ImmersiveCinemaRooms Must be my luck. My 5th projector which I just got a day ago was DOA. Being sent a 6th projector (5050ub) now. Epson in America has a quality control issue I suppose. Luckily my credit card company provides extended warranty. Best of luck to you with Epson.

    only thing that bothered me is the screen looks too small I would have went a little bigger and not so much black but that's it

    • @ImmersiveCinemaRooms
      @ImmersiveCinemaRooms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Josh. Thanks for your comment. Yes indeed we could have gone bigger in the space as the initial documents we produced specified a bigger screen. However at the end of the day the client has the say and he wanted the size a bit smaller and in proportion to the width of the seating. We generally use black fabric across the entire screen wall as when the lights are down and the film is on you get true immersion by seeing no colour change between the surround of the screen and the colour of the wall.
