Meet Brian Gordon, director of the Farming LP owned by Awarua trust and milking roughly 560 cows.
After a heavy flood Brian started thinking about Smart Shelters and compositng barns as a way of futureproofing the farm.
With the idea of moving all feeding into the barn and keeping the herd sheltered from the weather in winter and to reduce heat stress during summer. The difference in the body condition and overall health was remarkable and highly credited to the composting barn.
