  • Markus' very first flight in an aerobatic jet's cockpit a few weeks after his 40th birthday. Fully equipped with a g-suit, flight helmet and oxygen mask he was thightly strapped into the ejection seat of the SIAI-Marchetti S-211. Take off from Augsburg (EDMA), heading south to the alpine region and Germany's highest mountain "Zugspitze". At 8.000 ft right before reaching Garmisch they descended rapidly down on a westerly heading to 4.000 ft near Ettal Abbey and proceeded through narrow side valleys with approximately 350 Kts continously performing aerobatic maneuvers. Back at 9.000 ft obove Austrian territory they circled around the "Zugspitze". Afterwards the jet continued to a "Restriced Area" where high altitude aerobatic maneuvers up to 4,5 Gs could be performed, touching cloud layers in breath taking manners ...

Wow, what a nice present! I thought it was interesting that the plane on takeoff sounds like it has a JT-15D engine (when the fan blade tips start to go supersonic). Then I looked it up and it actually does have a JT-15D engine!
