Craft the shield, it's not a hand held shield, it's like a blue FPS Shooter Shield, that regenerates.
I love my blue first person shooter shooter shield

Press 4 and set them to not attack. It works for your daedream too. Even when it's just floating next to you!!

Its funny because when I saw Axemans face on livestream its one of those occasions where the voice doesnt match the face lol. But yea I enjoy his narration on his vids. Makes then more enjoyable and pleasant to watch!
I love that almoat every episode Axe yells at Daedream to not kill. And then you can hear the disappointment in his voice when she kills something he wanted🤣
(I think you can take off the collar if you want you could always use the fox flamethrower)

He's more ranged rather than melee. I find it funny so many want him to have a shield. I personally think it because they just want to see him make it. So they know what it looks like. However in most survival games I find the shields to not work half as well as they should.
Just for clarification !!!
The shield in this game is not a "stick it on your arm to block" kind of shield ...... it's a "Starship Enterprise, Raise the shields mr Sulu" Kinda shield .... absorbs any and all types of damage... stops your armor getting destroyed by the first hit you take... makes you a LOT more survivable in boss fights.
The Parachute is not a parachute its a Glider (comes in handy for dropping off cliffs)
The place where you went to catch the nymphomaniac .... follow that to the top and you will find a very interesting tree with some items you should be looking out for. (and are currently missing)
I may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure in one of your storage boxes There is an egg that looks more like an acorn with a leaf in it that needs to be incubated.
Most of the damage types work the same in this as they do in Pokemon .... Electric beat's water but is weak to ground etc etc etc
You can tell your active pals to go passive when your out taming (even daedream)
You can (and should) use your Hog whilst gathering stone / metal / sulphur / blue stuff .... charge the hog into a node and watch what happens.
whilst wandering around in dungeons you will see that there are massive nodes of all varieties (best place to gather mat's in a hurry) especially sulphur and the blue stuff shards.
Your pig can harvest paldium, stone and ore! just charge into it whilst mounted. Maybe get a second incubator.
Also looking at weaknesses will greatly help just like in Pokémon

Ax, here's a helpful tip ( if you didn't know already) if you ever decide to move base. If you go to your building wheel at the bottom it says to press C to dismantle things and if you go to your map and hover over your base you can dismantle your palbox and place it somewhere else ( you keep all your pals) also if you have a vixy, it will farm and there is a better chance to farm more items like more pal spheres
If you put Vixy in the ranch she will dig you up gold, arrows and pal spheres. 🎉

Axe make a shield, its a secondary health bar, not an equipped weapon
I definitely recommend you explore around before you pick a spot for your official base theres so many beautiful spots that are really good😌 (i should know ive been playing it like a crack head)
You really need the shield,, its automatic and regenerates over time when depleted. It saves you from dying A LOT
Axe, the medicine is for your pals. They can get sick hurt or depressed. When that happens they stop working and fighting. So you give them the meds and it fixes them up. It just can't be used at a health potion.
There's a nice flat area with lavenders in it.
Still no shield. Lol
And incase you didn't notice, you're missing 1 pal bed.

Great job Axeman!!! The kitty is a boss by where I put my other base, it gets hard fast there. Not an excellent location, but no one minds. Got the Love pal while breeding, didn't really want it but I got it. Got a bee guard thing that makes honey, and a huge cow which is something you need in your life! It's adorable like the big fish!
I'm pretty sure daedream does listen when you command it to not attack, but I could be wrong. Lol. Also, I do recommend getting the shield! It equips to your character and works sorta like extra health. It also recharges and repairs itself, so it's quite helpful.
axe i found out recently that if you hold 4 and put dont attack, daedream wont attack! its been useful with taming new creatures without it killing them hahah

Yesss, you got Grintale 😍Was hoping you'd get one. Level it up, it's op af. Went into dungeons with it and it dealt with the bosses and its minions by itself. Having said that, running around with it on the map, it tends to get its big butt in your way 😂

I haven't caught up with the whole series so you might have figured this out, but if you haven't: when you press 4 you get a wheel menu up where you can tell daedream and your other pal not to attack, attack same target or attack aggressively 🩷 I'm enjoying this playthrough greatly! Thanks so much!
I'd definitely move the base if nothing is loss. Or just set up a second base. They do let you have multiple base locations. So you could get pretty creative with it. Different pals for work or defense.
Arsox is for sure my favorite Pal so far its super strong and tanky and you can ride it which is just so fun. I also use him as a torch at night while exploring so i dont have to craft one.

Axe, you can stop your Daedream (and the rest of your Pals) from attacking from the '4' menu. Very useful when trying to capture Pals.
Axe for a video tame 3 more Daedreams and 1 Hoocrates (the bird with the witch hat). You can have all the Daedreams out at once and the Hootcrates boosts their damage😂. The perfect Boss killer team😂😂

hey Axeman i love your pal world series i found out a tip for the egg incubator its kind of like the bed where if you give it a warm shelter th incubation goes faster
Fun fact: you can also capture the traders from the village and other people.
This absolute madman fighting bosses without a shield.
You killed Pengking faster than the tower boss because Arsox is Fire elemental which is strong against Ice element creatures.There is a chart in the options/ Surival guide/ element which shows you which element to use in certain situations.
Eggs hatch faster if you throw a fire next to it when it says it’s cold. Obviously frozen eggs for example like it cold

Put a campfire next to the agg incubator. It will go lot faster to hatch the agg.

I thinks the raids work randomly. My first raid was lvl 36 monsters. All I could do was run around, watching my pals get defeated.😢

You need a cooling guy for the cooling box to work I use jolting cryst cause he's small and cute and stays out of the way he's great for it
You should tame a pengking they are good for base management. They have level 2 in a couple traits. I can't say myself on fighting because I've only used tamed boss and hatched normals for base work

I have a boss Daedream called Nightmare and yeah she does tend to kill things I want to tame but also saves my butt on many occassions Wait unti you meet boss Grintail - he is a GOD among chonks 🤣 I've just relocated using my second base and I'm living just near a fast travel called "Ravine Entrance" - its very pretty, lots of iron and paldium nodes, and nothing too spicy spawning nearby.

This pal condenser is why I've been annoyed the entire playthorugh when not catching anything. You could be level 25 easily if instead of killing low level stuff, you catch 10 of each minimum...

Im level 20 something and i don't bother with gliders anymore i use a pal that serves as a glider and are way better than the actual gliders and the direhowl still my mount cuz until now i haven't got one that was faster in land...my party is 90% utility right now i have a pal to ride on land one to glide one to ride on water (im not fond of the flyers i have now so i wont waste on their saddles) and my daedream since the beginning and a pal that grab items on the floor for me while on team that i forgot her name and im having a blast that way but yh its all matter of preference i guess.
