The game has been out for 30 days of year long early access development trial. That's 8.22% of the early access window. Why don't we hold the doom & gloom back let the developer develop during the early access period as was publicly and officially stated.

The whale looks to have some technical appearance in the game. If you look at some of the huge skeletons lying around, some of them have what looks like the golden collar thing. granted it's been reduced to nothing but bones so the collar appears to have its own skeletal structure under the golden outside.

I almost think we were watching the story they have planned to yet release to the game so it doesn’t spoil it honestly. I don’t see a world where that work and art isn’t used in the game somehow some way. Even if it’s a flashback memory after a quest idec. I’m thirsty for more palworld though

As cool as the lively cities look, I personally hope they don't take up too much of the world as a whole or seep in too much of the early access map. I'm probably in the minority with this, but I really like the vast wilderness of the setting. It really makes it feel more inhospitable for humans and demonstrate how much these islands are the pals' domain.

@SkillTissuGaming Digimon, monster rancher, jade cacoon, monster hunter, persona, disgaea.... I can keep going. These are all games/frachises that had monster designs that were unique and therefore avoided lawsuits from the evil pokemon company.

The center of the tree is emitting a similar light as the whale. Maybe the whale was was a huge connection to the story later and is currently sleeping at the tree?

Looks like they went from set structures like that stylized house to what we have now with individual building components.
I wouldn't mind if some Pals exist in cutscenes only. A story mode that showed what the islands were like before the great calamity happened.
3:44 looks like what I would assume to be a previous pal that was reworked into Quivern. Dragonstrophe also seems to be the same type as Astegon. Not sure if they were really going to go through with releasing Dragonstrophe or if they reworked it into Astegon.

One thing is you cannot own an idea That's why there is no lawsuit. The second thing is the meshes for every skeleton are different That's one thing that people don't understand that the person who introduced those messed with the meshes I can't believe people still believe that.

very small thing that would be super easy to add as like a minor 3 day patch -
a pal move that doesn't reduce enemy hp below 1 so you can stop worrying about killing pals even just a few levels below you in 1 hit of a basic move.

What most people do not know is that as long as there is at least a 20% difference in design, then it can not be considered copyright infringement.
Copyright laws do not exist in Japan two Japanese companies, cannot sue each other over copyright issues when they do not have laws for it. Why does no one understand this.

Tbf it’s not the copyright that nintendo or gamefreak is saying with palworld. I’m pretty sure it’s because they’re using AI pokemon mods for programming the general Pal movement and design. It’s more internal than literally just copyright, they’re coding pokemon’s internal AI data into the game. Why don’t people actually look up the issue before thinking it’s all about copyright.

I love how he's using a concept video of Palworld as "missing content" lmao. It's not. This was literally a concept video from years ago from my understanding.
Pokemon creates a creature that looks like a lion. Palworld creates a creature that looks like a lion.

I mean it’s true that there quite a few areas in the map that have a serve lack of anything in it. Or just no resolution period but this is an early access and I didn’t pay for it because of game pass. I’m still going to support them because this game scratches the itch I s always wanted

Theres only about 40% of the content they plan on adding, although the game mechanically is about 80% complete.
So imagine there will be new pals, new types of dungeons, new weapons/armour, new accessory items, and new poi's/camps. Theres a few areas of the map that seem unfilled with content or islands that dont feel as full compared to the others. A few that comes to mind would be the desert region, the desert town, the fisherman's village, alot of the tundra areas.
New mount options might be in store because theres alot of pals that seem like they would be rideable or have player usage abilities but dont currently.
Also theres alot of irl animal species they missed out on utilizing such as arachnids, more bug types, and more fish species they could fill the oceans with. Itd be cool to see war pike the giant pike fish pal, or maybe an actual shark, maybe even a whale like we seen in the trailer.
The giant whale thing is likely not a capturable pal but more a method of transportation, you know maybe there will be a hidden floating city on the map that our flying mounts wont be able to reach and we will have to do something like ride this whale to the new location, that city they show kinda looks like its floating, and in the opposite corner of the giant tree
If I learned anything from the pokemon community, for being a bunch of "legal junkies", who have self-professed law degrees, know jack all of the difference in the legal concept of copyright/trademark infringement vs. "similar but distinct". The pals very clearly cross the "distinct" hurdle, despite how many want to claim otherwise, which is why nintendo hasn't and won't do anything unless palworld really and truly copies something thats patented or trademarked.
Seriously, go take 5 minutes to look at how specific patents are and educate yourself on what *EXACTLY* needs to be copied to become a legal violation. Nintendo learned this the hard way through digimon. It's why things like Nexomon (which has been around way longer than palmon, is on steam, and yet somehow for some reason, the pokemon community hasn't gone ballistic over that. Probably because it hasn't had 1/100th of the success of palworld, so pokemon community doesn't care.)
Which brings me to my last point. There are many other games that are "similar" to pokemon, that are distinct, same as a palworld. So why the palworld hate? Because the majority of the pokemon fans are just bitter that some company did a "pokemon game" better than nintendo/gamefreak did. I'm sorry you got shit games for the last 20 or so years and some random indie company did what the pokemon fans wanted for literal decades, but that's not really our problem. So can the pokemon legal junkies go find a new hobby? I'd say go play Minecraft, but palworld has more similarities to that than pokemon, and you'd all lose your shit again. It's weird though, you don't see minecraft fans storming forums and drumming up drama on social media.

Are the ruins in the current game not the castle in the unity clips? And the skeletons we see all over the map now are all those pals we saw in the unity clip.
I think we will end up seeing 99% of these features. The CEO said that once they ran out of money they would publish it, finished or not. Thankfully they ran out of money with a semi structured game. now that they've made 100 million dollars, we will most certainly see more pals, a story, maybe even more maps! Palworld still has a long way to go to make this game their own, but I believe in them.

The fishing poles are actually in the game already, in different tiers too they just don't have any functionality yet. Two other intersesting things might be the gasmask and the nightvision googles, both equipable in the ring-slots but also curretly without any function. The planned nightvision googles migth be the reason nights are so dark in Palworld.

I find Bolt mane to be one of the pals that looked less like pokemon compared to others. I am curious if they are just changing things to avoid comparison from the public not just for pokemon litigation. I love the fire version shown.
Technically, they don't have to change anything. That design was unique enough where anyone can clearly tell the difference between the two of them. It's like trying to sue someone just because they have a design that mimicks a real life animal. . .just like yours does.

The part where you see the player building the Space Rocket going to another planet, is probably one of their DLC expansion once they have finished polishing the base game. Yes, I believe Palworld will release DLCs in the following years.
I really want Boltmane in the game, and I hope that they make it faster in running speed than it currently is. I really love the way the pal looks and want to make it part of my team and my go to riding mount if they make it faster. I love that whale too and hope that we get it sooner rather than later.
Ever heard of Nexomon? Been out for over 10yrs on mobile, now on Switch, having 3 sequels. Its literally THE Pokemon clone game. Exact same thing. And still GameFreak cant do anything. So Palworld is safe
Well obviously we don't have a lot of the old trailer stuff. That was all made in UNITY, not Unreal, so it'll be quite some time before we can recreate a lot of it.
I hope they do manage to update the looks of the Pal Sanctuaries. They honestly look too small right now.
Yeah, they're currently just cookie cutters and just being these tiny islands doesn't feel very... special. I think the islands should be 2 to 4x bigger, and have a super sized "Viewing Fence field" to keep players out, unless they fly over. Finally, a station or doors that lead into the structure full of PIDF units.@@Knight41b

in most crafting games, I.E their old game "Craftopia" the end game result or victory result is you build a rocket to 'escape' what ever location you are at. Maybe their initial idea was to lean more into the crafting side of things and then they realize they wanted to lean more into the survival and monster capture side. Accented by crafting, so they weren't just making a 3d version of their old game, with capturable monsters or 'pals'.
I love this game though btw.

I sincerely hope they add more tactical fights and bosses. Just being able to roflstomp most of them through cycling big damage pals is a little anticlimactic.
The souls-ish dodge roll let's me go through most fights without taking damage. Even when I do, Felbat's life drain is potent enough to see me through with the Assault Rifle +3
Personally, pvp doesn't sound too interesting to me. I'd rather see just new content outside of pvp and "bug" fixes.
Rocket ships to other worlds would be a fun and convenient way to implement expansions.

My personal theory is the Dark Mutant that was cut was supposed to be Victor's original partner before Shadowbeak. Victor's diary was about he and the Pal Genetic Research team were mutating Pals to try and create an ultimate pal but only one Pal was successfully copyable. Dark Mutant is the obvious Pal counterpart of Mega Mewtwo. The Shadowbeak thing made no sense since you could breed it from random things or just catch it in the wild.
My guess was Victor's original diary was going to be a verbratim copy of Pokemon 2000 of "trying to create the ultimate Pokemon and tried genetically mutating tons of different pokemon but only one was successful, Mew to Mew Two" except they were going to do it with Dark Mutant was the only successful copy from Lunaris since they look very similar to each other, both look similar to Mew Two, and Lunaris at the very least was a floating psychic type or as they call it "gravity manipulation", and Dark Mutant was likely supposed to be that two judging by it's character model appearing to float.
The whales are already in the game, their skeletons are all over the place.

This game is awesome however I do wish they add more npc's, cities with people and also a story mode coz rn it just feels a bit soulless but given that its in early access it has achieved a lot

It’s hard not to see that the pals do look like Pokémon they should change the design’s because it’s way to similar ppl complaining leave them the same have to understand artist put a lot of time and work into their designs just for someone to copy and reskin is kind of crazy to defend

But considering that every alternative element pal version except Jormuntide Ignis has a special breeding combination that ignores the standard rules, and includes it's normal variant, I'd say that might have been a planned combination that was just left out of the game for some reason? Maybe they tought that Jormuntide Ignis is too broken, and it'd be too easy to get one with good passives this way?

There's a very big reason why I keep saying that people need to stop trying to compare Palworld to Pokemon and start comparing it to Pocket Pair's last work, Craftopia. They share a very similar infrastructure of find fast travel points. Survive and craft. The characters all look like edgy anime. But Craftopia was kind of a, "This game has everything." game and it ended up sucking so much rock salt at, well, just about everything in it. Exploration, sliding, gliding, climbing, running, harvesting, farming, combat, cooking, building. All of that stuff is basically okay and functional, but none of it is something outstanding. Two things it particularly sucked at was ranged combat and creature raising and husbandry. You got a bow and arrow and you were set in Craftopia. The guns were okay, but they couldn't compare DPS and cost-wise to a bow. Melee weapons are also much more viable in Craftopia than they are in Palworld. For capturing, you could capture anything, just like Palworld, and use them on your bases, just like Palworld. The main problem was that they sucked when it came to combat and they didn't really provide much benefit beyond providing energy and food (cows, pigs, and chicken specifically.)
What is Palworld then? It's like Craftopia, but Pocket Pair decided to go all in on those two particular features that really failed in Craftopia. So how was Palworld received? "Pokemon with guns." What did Craftopia suck at? "Pet" capture and utilization and firearm combat. So while you can compare styles of creatures to Pokemon, it's a lot more apt to compare Palworld holistically to Craftopia.
Easiest comparison I find is: ARK. Survival game with capture, breeding, and utilizing the strength of those captures. It's also a far more well known title then Craftopia. There's also the whole IV thing, which is essentially just like the stat distribution that ARK also had.
I challenge anybody to make a pokemon or another creature like pokemon that doesn’t resemble not one of the 1000

What are you trying to buy exactly, in the state of the game you don’t even need money or in fact any merchant. The only time I needed gold were buying ammo and they’re pretty cheap.
@@calliprandom eggs for breeding. I've personally spent hundreds of thousands on eggs alone. No need to buy ammo. Way too easy to craft massive amounts. But when cake takes 8 eggs each and I'm crafting 20 at a time pretty consistently it doesn't take long to go through 1000 eggs which costs me 50k gold per 1000 eggs. But money is not really an issue either. Sell old weapons, duplicate schematics, shitty pals, if you have a mining base you should have thousands of ore. Make nails and sell them. Never need money again. The benefit of farming black marketeers is to get gold keys as well as some walking around money

With more new artist to help, they can just completely change the design of the problematic ones. They already do a good job fixing the bug, when all of that done, they can add whatever new things they want without rushing.

AWESOME VIDEO! Love this game so far, and hoping for better base building, and better response/mechanics for battling.
Pokémon should just do what Fortnite did. And just do the unlimited profit thing. Drop Kanto region the first year with a battle pass. Have the same features. Everyone loves Pokémon and guns lol. They should just take a risk and drop a game that they’ve actually changed. Change the formula man. That’s how they could come out on top rather than in the court room.
For that to happen they would have to do more than hit copy and paste and change the names of characters. I don't think that's really their m.o. these days. Seems a lot like actual work.

Pocket Pair made a lot of money off Palworld. Hopefully they keep improving the game, add QoL changes, and make the game flow smoother.
I can play Palworld for hours and feel like I accomplished nothing at the same time. I don't know what's missing, or if Im playing the game "wrong". That doesn't mean I don't enjoy it, but I want to feel like I accomplished something in the game.
What is it that you are doing while playing? There’s definitely some activities that will lead to greater payoffs compared to others

I mean, yeah, we're probably not going to see Hangyu helping to transport other Pals to jobs, that's redundant, unnecessary, and would reduce fun by needing more Pals to do basic tasks.
Or having to build walls beam by beam, step by step with a pengullet tower because that adds tedium that they seem to have decided isn't as fun as being able to build what you want quickly.
So I'd say it's *likely* we won't see these, as Pocket Pair already found more fun ways of doing it.
