Bought and working on a basket case 1971 Honda C70, Don't wanna spend what is being asked for parts so I'm going to rig a lot of it. Many ideas in my mind and I saw most of them put to actual use today in your video. Good work man, I got a lot of inspiration .... keep it going ....
Sick project. I have a trail 110 that barely keeps up with traffic. I want to find a non runner passport 70 and swap a lifan 140 or 150. I’m thinking I can even swap an auto clutch from a lifan 125 in one of those and maintain its approachability if someone is interested in riding for the first time. Even groms are intimidating to people who have never used a clutch before.
Awesome video thank you! What size front/rear sprocket are you running? Does the coil need to be bolted down or can it be left hanging in that compartment?
Takes me back to when I was 12...we used to ride minibikes around the neighborhood, this one kid, maybe 8 or 9 had this ratty, underpowered-looking roach of a mini (it was a lil' Indian) so we decided to run our Rupps and Bird minis against it - the kid smoked our asses. I mean he walked away from ours. Fuck. And besides that, he had a mother that was soooo hot, I got to see her one morning in her bathrobe, kinda sheer. Cemented in my mind forever. Yeah, I know, TMI....
Just blew up my engine on my 81 c70. The 140 seems a tad bit more engine than what I need. Do you think the 125 will fit the same if not better? Also all my wiring was redone with the original 6v engine. Will I need to replace all my parts, wiring, etc. being that it’s 12v? Super helpful video!!
I’m not sure if it’ll fit better or not 🤷🏻♂️ and the wire itself is probably ok? But the components like the voltage regulator and flasher and bulbs etc. won’t work. Hope this helps!
I have a similar project im working on. I have a junk 1981 passport that im converting to electric. I was hoping you could answer a few questions of mine. One, where did you find those shocks? I cannot find any shocks that will fit. Two, how did you mount your handlebar risers? Thank you
Unfortunately I’m not going to be much help because I bought the bike with both of those 😅 if I remember I’ll take a look at the bar risers this weekend and reply here for ya
We did not. We pretty much did them identical. I was worried that the smaller carb and exhaust would really choke out the motor. If you’re gonna make an exhaust maybe wait until you get electrical done. I’m gonna have to recut my exhaust so I’m not sure yet how it’s gonna run best. I show that at the end of the last video I did.
The better for all these is to upgrade with genuine honda c100 astrea grand 1995 6 parts.98cc but will ride for over 120.000km in one piece.these chinese engines are crap
The purpose of that bike is reliability and gas mileage of 150 MPG. By putting Chinese junk in there you might have made it be more powerful but reliability won't be there anymore and half the gas mileage so you should have got a bigger bike. Did l mention that they are worth the most when they are original?
Nobody cares how much it's worth. It's still gonna get over fifty miles per gallon! You gotta be able to keep up with traffic or get squashed like a bug.

🤙Sweet build man! I’ve got a Honda C90 here in the UK. Currently running it with a Lifan 110 semi, but want to convert to a 140 manual clutch.
It’s super fun! I haven’t done much Street riding with it but it’s a ton of fun around the yard 😂
I would love to see more in detail on how u put it on there
It was a full engine swap. It wasn’t much more than that 🤷🏻♂️

This bike is a blast!

I’m running factory gears on it. Whatever was on the passport originally. And that I don’t remember 🤔

🤣🤣🤣 I think we’ve all had that one mom crush when we were little that we’d loved to see in a sheer robe
Very cool.
Did you make any video's of your buddy's C70?
I did not

What handlebar risers did you use? I’m looking to put bars on my c70 as I swapped to a pirhanna 140cc. Thank you.
I’m not sure. They were on it when I bought it
Great video! I’m planning on doing a Lifan 125 swap into my 82’ C70. On your buddies, did you use the stock exhaust and carb? Thanks

Good to know! So far my Chinese motor is good but I don’t have many miles on it

Yup! Everything you said is correct! But I bought it butchered and without a title. 🤷🏻♂️ so I just sent it 😎
