- Hawaii isn't cheap, this is my most expensive Hawaii Day I've had! Between Character Breakfast At Disney's Aulani Resort, early dinner at The Fours Seasons Oahu, and then MORE food at Monkeypod my wallet was hurting. DEFINITELY WORTH IT THO 😂

The things I loved about Hawaii when I was there a hundred years ago we're the open air lobbies and the nightly trade winds! Pure heaven.
Next time you go into that infinity pool with the cave, make sure you hold your breath, put your head underwater, and listen. You'll hear the sounds of whales, dolphins, and the menehune.
I think I've watched all of your vlogs and the Hawaii ones are your best ever. Thanks so much for making us feel part of the experience. I hope to get back to Aulani someday; it's been about 5 years.

In the mornings, the Hawaii voyaging canoe, the Hokulea, sailed up to the beach at Aulani, several times each morning. It was fun to watch them.
Thanks for showing the awesome stuff at Four Seasons. I will definitely try their happy hour bar. Heard their buffet brunch on Saturday is amazing! Yes the marketplace is awesome for snacks and souvenirs. Must go to Waikiki.

Anyone going to Hawaii: I get the ABC store can be super convenient, but skip it if you can and go to Longs instead, like a real local.

Chill at a waterfront restaurant or bar at Waikiki beach during sunset. The vibes are amazing. Try li hing powder on sour gummies! Also, eat a musubi!
Enjoying your Hawaii videos! My husband and I were there in Feb. Mornings I spent out at the pool and beach, and had a few Blue Hawaii drinks, and afternoons we traveled around the island. On the last day we spent our whole day at Aulani. We were tired from all the traveling and loved just being there! Thanks for the vlogs!

That's Ling Hing Mui on the rim of your drink. It's a powder we use on candies, dry fruit and fresh fruits. Gives an extra sweet punch. Definitely should grab some powder to take home and put it on your pineapple, mangos, or apples.
Li Hing Mui powder on most fruits are a local must do.
Loco moco is a must! Good choice, not weird 😊
You can eat steak "blue" which is pretty close to raw; you can also eat steak tartare. Finally, Monkeypod is super convenient, but everyone, try going to Roy's. It's a little farther away, but way better.
Haven't seen shrimp chips since I left NYC! Wow. I thought they were of my imagination!
Hey Jojo, *love* your vlogs - glad u got to head over to the Four Seasons - Four Seasons is one of the most upscale hotel groups on the planet…the company has its roots in Canada, and they do things well.
Note the Four Seasons resort hotel by the Golden Oak development near Disney in Florida- also a very luxe, beautiful property!

This video was so nostalgic, thank you! I stayed at the Four Seasons when it used to be the J.W. Marriott...its a beautiful hotel! So glad you got to MonkeyPods twice, I loved that place. And yes, ABC store is a good place to stock up on snacks and alcohol ! Hope you make it down to my favorite hotel there, the Marriott Vacation Club just down the walking path along the beach.

One snack you need to try is the chocolate cuddle fish
the four seasons used to bew the jw marriott ihilani resort; so many people lost their jobs when it became another hotel. saddened me when that happened as i have been working for marriott for nearly three decades.
Aulani is notoriously expensive. Meanwhile, as you discovered nearby there are loads of deals. If you get a chance take an UBER over to Waikiki Beach. All the same ABC store stuff but also grocery stores and dozens of regular and novelty restaurants. The best FREE luau most nights as the sun sets on Kuhio Beach. The Royal Hawaiian hotel is jaw dropping. The beach in Waikiki is spectacular compared to Aulani.

Yes, Jojo! You get it! We, at least I do, feel like we are somewhat along with you for the ride at Hawaii! I keep finding myself saying, my friends, Jojo & Kyle, are in Hawaii right now and sharing what you’ve experienced as though I’ve experienced. Hopefully, the hubs and I can consider Aulani for our 30th Anniversary trip in a couple years! Can’t wait to see your next adventures!

ABC store is a great place to buy souvenirs for family and friends. JoJo you and Kyle need to eat outside of the resort area there is a little cheaper places to eat. Loving the vlogs.
Spend some time in waikiki, go to dukes, stroll kalakaua and waikiki beach. Go around the island, east end manoa falls, Kailua beach, north shore, there's so much more to do, rent a car guys!
there are sooo many fun things to do in downtown waikiki! I recommend going to rainbow tower beach, waikiki beach (but it gets crowded) and a bunch of good food including a musubi cafe!

Character breakfast dining is fun yes it’s expensive but worth it life is short so live it to the fullest
Raw steak is actually quite ok in some cases! For example, carpaccio is raw meat and it's quite delicious! There's a raw meat dish here in southern Brazil called Carne de Onça (or literraly translating is Cougar Meat) which is raw ground beef seasoned with onions, some cachaça, black pepper and chive. served with bread and brown mustard. You guys should try it some day! :)

My brother Chris stayed at a four seasons hotel in Hawaii but I’m not sure which island he was at. Since he’s not around for me to ask, I’ll just imagine he stayed at the one you shared with us here today. So beautiful. Thanks for the little hug from heaven .❤️😇 Through Jo Jo’s vlogs and JoJo’s vision and editing, I can imagine the spots my brother would have seen in Hawaii. I’ve got four brothers and three are comedians and they’ve all been to Hawaii. And filmed in Hawaii. Ha and have all stayed at Four Season’s Hotels in Hawaii. Thanks for sharing.👍❤️

Luv your videos!... loved seeing when you went to the four seasons resort....I am a major fan of the movie Bluecrush.... that's where they filmed it along with the Wrong Missy movie...really cool to see it ....although I have no idea who could afford to stay there... I WISH!💕 I have been to Hawaii and would go again in a heartbeat...the place is a magical paradise!🏝 The culture is so beautiful and like no other!!
Before leaving you've got to walk over to the Paradise Cove public beach right next door. There's even a secret beach! Turtles and great snorkeling!

But it looks like they haven't messed with the quality of enjoyment Walt would expect. So now we'll reconsider. Thanks for all the updates and showing us the pools. If you're going to Waikiki, try a sunset drink at the Halekulani Hotel at House Without A Key. May need to reserve a table. So beautiful with Diamond Head in the background 🙂
i've visited there over 5 years ago, had breakfast. I saw minnie and chip's dale.but never saw goofy in chef costume! he is so cute! i definitely come back to Aulani :)

Yes, anything is expensive on Hawaii, but that is because of it being an island nation. While most things that can be produced on the island are more reasonable, most everything has to be imported and that raises the prices for most everything on the island. Even local stuff is a bit more expensive just due to the limited area on the islands to produce it. It's why fruits, veggies, milk, etc is expensive in japan as well. Any island nation will have higher prices due to that. Love this series and I am hoping to go in the next few years!!!

But don’t ever be embarrassed to explore outside the Disney bubble. There is fun and enjoyment in all kinds of places that aren’t related to Disney. Shaved ice is a snow cone. When in Hawaii try as much as you can. I went there 11 times.

Another great vlog JoJo! If you have a chance go see the Palace and Pearl Harbor to get some history on Hawaii. Also there is a secret beach near Aulani to see Turtles and Seal Lions. If you want to save more, you can go to Walmart or Target, get cold cuts from the deli, bread and fruit and make it a picnic. There are classes in Aulani but you have to pay. Make your own Mickey ears or Ukulele lessons. Can you find out if they still have star gazing at night? They also had tours of the resort. Can't wait for the next Vlog!

We leased a house in Kailau for two weeks, and did all of our shopping at ABC. You can find everything there.
You just gave us a hack when visiting Aulani. We adults can slide over to Four Season at happy hour to get a drink and some appetizers

The water typically is around 82° in the summer in the islands.
I guess it’s more than likely wishful thinking as I’m a Waterman and off surf this morning.

Good news is that you can do characters in WDW when you get back!! Go over to the Polynesian Village and pretend it’s Hawaii.
Go and catch an Uber and go to Kapolei which is literally down the road. Go and check out to the local foods there. At the very least, go to Zippy’s. You’ll experience what we call Kanak Attack which means you’re constantly eating even when full to the point you’re falling asleep. That’s the true Hawaii experience.

Loco Moco is a CLASSIC dish in Hawai'i. Aulani has a fancy version, but if you go to a local joint, the Loco Moco is onolicious. And props to you for at least trying it!

I commend you for choosing a local dish and at least trying it. To be fair, the Makahiki version doesn’t really the most authentic. Loco Moco is one of my favorite dishes!
